15+ Images That Show the Cast From Harry Potter Still Shares a Magical Friendship After 20 Years

year ago

The Harry Potter series captured all of our hearts with its magical world. In the 20 years since the first film came out, the cast has remained friends and their reunions bring back all the Harry Potter magic.

Bright Side has found photos of these Potter reunions to celebrate the friendship of this cast and bring a little Potter nostalgia to your day.

Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy, aka Emma Watson and Tom Felton, are great friends. They took this beach selfie in 2018. Despite their characters being enemies in the films, these 2 have always shared a special friendship.

And they hung out again in 2019, when Tom shared that they were in South Africa together. He shared this sweet snap of him teaching Emma to play the guitar.

They are also still friends with Matthew Lewis, who played Neville Longbottom in the films. Here they are smiling big in 2018.

Our favorite Harry Potter couple, Harry and Ginny Weasley, reunited in 2016. Ginny, aka Bonnie Wright, went to see Daniel Radcliffe in a play called Privacy that he was starring in. We love to see these old friends supporting each other’s work after all these years.

Tom Felton is another Harry Potter alum to support Daniel Radcliffe in the audience of a play he was in. Tom shared this sweet photo after seeing Daniel on stage in The Lifespan of a Fact in 2018.

The father-son duo of Lucius and Draco Malfoy reunited in 2017, alongside fellow cast members Matthew Lewis and Warwick Davis. It’s lovely to see that the Malfoys are still close after all this time.

Fred, George, and Ron Weasley (James and Oliver Phelps and Rupert Grint) all went to Universal Studios Orlando with Tom Felton.

The Weasleys were the sweetest family in the Harry Potter movies. It’s great to see that the on-screen siblings are still friends. Here are James Phelps, Bonnie Wright, and Rupert Grint reuniting in 2015 (with Tom Felton).

And again, in 2021, Draco and the Weasleys reunited. Tom Felton captioned this, “Secretly Draco always wanted to be a redhead,” showing that Harry Potter bonds (and jokes) last a lifetime.

In 2021, Tom Felton and James Phelps reunited again, this time to play a round of golf and take this fun selfie. Even though their characters were often on opposite sides, these actors are still good friends in real life.

Draco Malfoy and Neville Longbottom — or Tom Felton and Matthew Lewis — are good friends. Tom posted this funny photo of him trying to give Matthew a Slytherin backpack in 2018. Even 20 years later, this cast still jokes around together about the Harry Potter films.

Their characters may have been enemies since the beginning, but Daniel Radcliffe and Tom Felton are friends in real life.

Luna Lovegood, or Evanna Lynch in real life, shared this photo of her “Sistas” Katie Leung and Scarlett Hefner who played Cho Chang and Pansy Parkinson in the films.

Evanna Lynch also shared this sweet reunion at Comic Con with Bonnie Wright and James and Oliver Phelps. They certainly look happy to see each other.

And the cast even spend the holidays together. Tom Felton shared this snap to say, “Seasons Greetings” from him, Emma Watson (Hermione), Evanna Lynch (Luna), Bonnie Wright (Ginny), and Matthew Lewis (Neville). These actors certainly still share a magical bond, even 20 years after the first Harry Potter film came out.

The central friendship in Harry Potter is, of course, between Harry, Ron, and Hermione. Emma Watson revealed that the cast stays in touch via a group text. Daniel Radcliffe even texted Rupert Grint recently to congratulate him on the birth of his baby girl. Even though they have grown up, this magical friendship is still going strong.

Who is your favorite Harry Potter character? Do you have special friendships you’ve had since childhood?
