Being a parent does bring a unique mixture of feelings to a person’s life. Years ago when I was getting my kids ready for school, I handed one of my 5 year old sons a turtle neck shirt to put on. He stood there looking so serious and said "Why do they call these turtle necks? Turtles don't even have a neck!"
