It takes a lot of work for the world as we know it to function. This means that there are usually secrets that employees must keep to ensure everything can be “business as usual”. • I briefly worked for a store that is known for being very eco-friendly. Everything is being sold without plastic packaging, and we actively had to tell people we didn’t sell any products made out of plastic. Little did customers know that every week, on the day the load came in, one employee was specifically scheduled to remove the packaging of all the items before they were displayed in the store.
