7 Tricks to Clean Your Bathroom So You Don’t Have to Scrub for Hours
Instead of wasting time and starting spring-cleaning in the bathroom, you can sort it out in 10-15 minutes. You just have to know a few little tricks, and, good news, you don’t have to go far since you already have most of the stuff that can make your bathroom shine like a diamond.
Bright Side is sharing 7 tips that will put an end to hours of boring bathroom cleaning.
1. Use tea tree oil.
Tea tree oil boasts multiple benefits, but most importantly, it has antibacterial and antifungal properties. That’s why making use of it in the bathroom is a great idea. Add a bit of tea tree oil to baking soda and give your sink a good scrub. The oil easily removes mold and bacteria and restores the previous glow of your sink.
2. Use shaving foam to clean mirrors.
To prevent mirrors from getting foggy after showering, just apply some shaving foam to them. Leave it for 1 minute and wipe it with a dry towel. It also works great to protect your mirrors from fingerprints.
3. Use vinegar to clean tiles.
You can get rid of yellow tiles easily without using expensive products. Just use vinegar, as it serves as a powerful natural cleanser. Mix 1/2 cup of white vinegar with warm water. Give the tiles a thorough scrub.
However, be careful and don’t clean marble with it, otherwise, the acids will damage it.
4. Use newspapers to wipe glass shower doors.
If you don’t have a microfiber cloth on hand, feel free to use newspapers. It doesn’t leave behind fibers, plus, it scrubs well. You can also combine newspapers with white vinegar to get flawless windows.
5. Use toothpaste to remove soap scum.
Apply a bit of toothpaste to a sponge and scrub thoroughly to remove soap buildup. It can also be used to polish faucets. Rub it in with a cloth and then rinse with water. It usually works on any kind of chrome.
Make sure to use this trick occasionally since the toothpaste abrasives might wear away the finish.
6. Use baby oil to shine fixtures.
Put a bit of oil on a cloth and rub it on the fixtures, shower heads, and even your toilet bowl. This way, you’ll give them a nice shine and get rid of fingerprints.
7. Keep a salt shaker with baking soda near your toilet.
Just sprinkle a bit of baking soda into the toilet bowl before using it. This will reduce the need to clean the toilet bowl often. What’s more, you can also use it to unclog the toilet. Use 1 cup of baking soda and 2 cups of vinegar, and after 30 minutes, your toilet will finally be unclogged.
