Bruce Willis’s Family Showers Him With Love on His B-Day, and They Share Deeply Moving Tributes

Bruce Willis’s sixty-eighth birthday was a bittersweet occasion, as it marked his first celebration after being diagnosed with dementia. Nevertheless, his family came together to express their love in unique ways. His daughter Scout LaRue Willis’s emotional message perfectly captured their feelings, sharing, “Grief is a price I’ll always pay to know what it is to feel such love.” Take a look at the videos below to witness how deeply cherished Willis is by those around him.

Each one of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore’s daughters took the opportunity to show support for their dad.

Rumer Willis, his oldest, shared, “I love you to the moon, you are so cool, Happy Birthday, Daddio!” The actress is currently pregnant with her firstborn and will soon turn Daddio into Granddaddio.

Tallulah Willis showed her support by wearing a T-shirt with her dad on it, stating that she was on “Team Bruno.” Bruno used to be the stage name of Bruce WIllis’s alter ego back when he used to be a singer.

Scout LaRue Willis said, “Happy Birthday to one of my best friends, the master of duality, both action hero icon and gentle girl dad. What a privilege to have this man as my father and learn so much about life, joy, mischief, and art through him.” She shared that today is not necessarily an easy day, because it’s a day full of deep love, and their family’s grief shows them the true depth of love for a family member.

Willis and his ex-wife, Moore, showed us that a divorce can be the beginning of a lifelong friendship.

Having been married for 13 years, their post-divorce relationship blossomed into one in which their kids always come first. Moore filmed the eventful family reunion, allowing us to all feel their family love in some way. Everyone sang “Happy Birthday” to Bruce, and when invited to blow out the candles on his cake, Willis happily obliged. Soon after, everyone lined up to give him a tight hug.

In honor of the occasion, Moore shared her joy on social media, saying, “Happy Birthday, BW! Love you and love our family. Thank you to everyone for the love and warm wishes — we all feel them.”

Emma Heming, Bruce Willis’s wife, started the day by crying.

While every day she feels grief and sadness; on this particular day, Heming feels it the most. While people always praise her for being so strong, she shared that she is just simply not given a choice. Having to raise 2 daughters, she explained, “In our lives, we have to put our big girl pants on and get to it, and that’s what I’m doing.”

She put together a reel for Willis’s birthday, and even though videos of him bring her immense pain, she chooses to do it because, as she puts it, “I know how much you love my husband and, (whispering to herself) — don’t cry, Emma — it means so much to me.
