One of the tests uncovered that he is predisposed to Alzheimer’s disease, making him 8-10 times more susceptible to developing the condition than the average person. They used special VFX makeup to age Pataky by 50 years and capture Hemsworth’s genuine reaction.

Despite feeling vulnerable and hesitant to be seen in this way, Pataky went ahead with the bit to support her husband.

Hemsworth was in for a surprise when he attended a dance event for seniors, expecting to meet an older fan. Instead, he found himself on a blind date with none other than his 87-year-old wife, Elsa Pataky. Upon seeing her, the actor was immediately moved to tears.

Both Hemsworth and Pataky acknowledged the challenge of seeing such a drastic transformation without the gradual build-up of years. Pataky expressed her desire to spend time with her husband, saying, “I want to live those years with you. We need those memories.”
