“Embrace the Fur,” Woman, 20, Hits Out at Men Who Hate Body Hair
Spencer Barbosa, a devoted promoter of body positivity has strongly criticized men who hold disdain for body hair, condemning their ’unwanted opinions.’ The daring young lady expressed her bold thoughts on this matter through her personal TikTok page.
The 20-year-old resident of Ontario disclosed that she has dealt with body hair since the age of seven. However, she firmly rejected the notion that it is ’unhygienic’ or ’masculine.’
Numerous social media users rushed to shower her with admiration and share their own perspectives on the topic. The video clip, which has garnered over 245,000 likes, features Spencer directly addressing the camera as she imparts her insights.
She began by focusing on various areas of her body, including her legs, stomach, arms, and upper lip, and proceeds to discuss the subject of body hair.
In her own words: “Body hair — let’s talk about it. So recently on my page I have seen a lot of men adding their unwanted opinions — as they always do — on women’s bodies.”
Spencer went on saying, “Now I’m Portuguese, I’m hairy, I will always be hairy because I will always be Portuguese. I have had hairy legs since the age of seven, I have been stealing tweezers from my mom since the age of seven to pluck my moustache. Now it wasn’t until this year that I caught myself ‘apologizing’ for my hairy legs like why the hell was I apologizing.”
The young lady added, “If you want to have hairy legs this summer, have hairy legs this summer and if you despise hair and you don’t want hair on your body, remove the hair on your body.” She concluded by encouraging others to ’embrace the fur’ and playfully sticks her tongue out while pretending to lick her arm hair.
Spencer, who has amassed over 8.8 million followers on TikTok, shared the video with a caption that stated: ’CEO of hairy arms.’ The post received an outpouring of supportive comments from other social media users.
One of them wrote, “Hair is literally natural, it’s going to grow.” Another chimed in, “Bruh hair is fine, the only thing I can say is that if you’re annoyed by your hair, you decide what you do with it. It’s no one else’s business.”
A third commenter expressed, ’’Don’t apologize for having it, just say ’sorry it bothers you’ and just laugh."
It’s no wonder more women are choosing not to remove their body hair these days. And it’s especially great to see celebrities who choose not to shave, thus helping normalize it and encouraging other women to do the same.
