Gwyneth Paltrow Reveals a Very Personal Detail About Her Romance With Ben Affleck

For about 3 years, Gwyneth and Ben had a very passionate on-and-off romance. But even though the actress admitted that their love life was ’’excellent’’, the couple called it quits in 2000. And now 50-year-old Paltrow is revealing a personal detail that shaped their relationship.

Their chemistry was powerful.

The two actors met at a party in the late ’90s and had a sporadic relationship between 1997 and 2000. During this period, they also starred in two films together: Shakespeare in Love in 1998 and Bounce in 2000.

Recently, speaking about her romance with Ben and Brad, whom she dated prior to Affleck, Gwyneth described them both as ’’good kissers.’’ She also shared that of the two, Ben would make her laugh more, but she also admitted that he was the one she was more likely to have an argument with.

Their relationship was rocky.

Even though Gwyneth and Ben were deeply in love, they also had an intense and tumultuous relationship.

When asked in an interview “How did you know not to marry him?”, the actress got completely honest with her answer. She admitted that she believes that with certain boyfriends we attempt to ’’heal certain stuff’’ from our childhood, and added that Ben ’’was very much a lesson in that way.’’

The star who reached her 50th milestone also recalled that her parents did not approve of Ben. She shared that the actor ’’was not in a good place in his life to have a girlfriend’’ during the years they were dating.

Having said that, the Goop founder made sure to highlight the Air actor’s qualities, noting that he is ’’super-intelligent and really, really talented, and he’s funny.’’

And although she has since then moved on and is now happily married to Ben Falchuk, Paltrow got honest about her thoughts on seeing Ben and Jennifer Lopez tie the knot.
