Emily Blunt Married John Krasinski “Out of Charity,” According to Their Kids

To us, John Krasinski may be the very handsome, smart, and funny actor we love from the show, The Office. But for his kids, there is no magic behind it all. He’s just a regular guy they watch movies, play, and have fun with. And it seems like even he didn’t know how much the world differs on the other side of the screen.

John Krasinski is a famous actor, director, and producer. Some of us may admire him, and nobody would argue that he hit the jackpot with The Office and captured the hearts of many fans around the globe with his outstanding acting and charisma.

However, it turns out that all those qualities are not enough to impress his own kids. When they watched the long-running comedy, instead of feeling proud and happy for their dad, they came to the conclusion that he works in an actual office.

Krasinski thinks it’s all because, one day, he was walking them to school, and there was a guy who came up to him and said, “John! From The Office! Oh my God, it’s so good to see you!” He was very nice, so Krasinski thanked him and kept walking.

After that interaction, his daughter started to ask him whether he worked with the guy. Krasinsky answered, “No.” But she didn’t buy it and started to accuse him of lying to her. And the more he tried to convince her, the less she believed him.

At the time, they managed to watch only one episode of the show. And his 6-year-old daughter kept asking him, “Is that you?” He said it was. “You look very different,” his daughter responded. And he tried his best not to take it as a hurtful thing.

When they watched 2 more episodes, it all got even funnier. His daughter kept insisting that it wasn’t him playing the character. “No, that’s me,” said Krasinski. Her answer was stunning: “Pfff, that’s not you... That guy looks a lot like you though!”

For a long time, Blunt and Krasinski’s daughters didn’t know what their dad did, however, they knew their mom was playing Mary Poppins and truly admired her work. Krasinski admitted, “I think my kids thought she had married me out of charity, like, ’You’re so nice to marry an accountant.’”

The couple thought that everything changed when the kids watched some of the movies Krasinski acted in, like Jack Ryan, you know, quiet and peaceful things like that. But not A Quiet Place! “Not yet,” Krasinski joked in an interview.

It’s when his daughters say things like, “Wow, you’re not an accountant!” Though Emily Blunt herself says that children are pretty “oblivious” to their parents’ stardom. And she would highly appreciate it if things stayed that way.

She said that she doesn’t want her kids to “feel any more important or special or that there’s a glare on them any more than other kids.” She explained, “If they can remain oblivious for the longest time, I’d be thrilled. They don’t even want to see what I do. They don’t like any of it! They just want me to be their mommy.” So they want their dad to be that too.
