Best-known as Eleven on the hit show Stranger Things, there’s no doubt that Millie Bobby Brown is an ultimate hit. But her path to success wasn’t easy, and she almost didn’t make it into Hollywood. The reason? As a child actor, she was too mature.

We can’t image Stranger Things without Millie Bobby Brown. But this almost happened. When she was just 10, one casting director said she wouldn’t succeed because she was too mature, leaving her in tears.

She said in an interview that she always knew she was too mature but couldn’t change this feature. “Being told that I wouldn’t make it in this industry, it was so hurtful. I got really down about that,” she said.

Luckily, her parents insisted that she make at least one final audition. And it was for the Duffer Brothers’ show Stranger Things. She was cast as Eleven, and filming was game-changing for her. Not only she found worldwide success, but she also found her best group of friends.

This wasn’t the only big rejection she faced. She auditioned for a role in Game of Thrones, and after not landing the role, she almost quit acting.

But she didn’t quit. And now we can see her work in TV shows like Enola Holmes and the movie Godzilla vs. Kong. Plus, she’s engaged to Jon Bon Jovi’s Son. So it’s safe to say everything turned out great for her.
