Oh my lord!! This “article” is a joke. If you can see past all the grammatical errors that a first grader could point out, you would see this is full of false information. First off, you’re terrifying people over Salmonella. EVERY LIVING THING CAN CARRY SALMONELLA Even the “author” can carry it. Salmonella is only spread by creatures that have been exposed to it. Salmonella is spread fecal oral so if you don’t eat your animals poop *shocker* you won’t get Salmonella. Don’t touch your face. Wash your hands. Easy. As for ferrets, they are NOT cats. They are CAGED ANIMALS and do not need litter boxes all over the house. Even if they do free roam, it will be to a confined area. They are too sneaky to be fully roaming a house unsupervised. GUINEA PIGS are fantastic animals and can be great for young kids. Yes they can have sharp nails but YOU CUT THEM. I have never had any of my guinea pigs breaks skin. A guinea pig is not going to give you any of those diseases with it’s nails. Is this a joke? The most common misconception with guinea pigs is that they are more care than most expect. HEDGEHOGS- their quills are sharp yes and they are not great for small children it WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT. There is absolutely NO POSSIBLE WAY that a poke from a hedgehog can cause stomach pains or fevers. I SWEAR THIS HAS TO BE A JOKE. COME ON. WHERES THE PUNCH LINE. And why are you hating on so many dog breeds?? ANY BREED IF DOG CAN BE BAD WITH CHILDREN. STOP BEING BREEDIST.

Oops. We didn't mean to delete it. It just happened.
I disagree with this entirely. We have 3 Rottweilers in the time that my sisters have had their kids. They have been great with the kids. Very patient, they understand that they are only little and let them get away with everything,

Totally disagree with article. I believe the author probably has never had a pet, or just doesn't like them. Kids could get hit by a car, but you dont keep them away from them.

The most dangerous animal to a child is its own species!! Child abuse, murder and diseases spread by other humans!
