There’s a notion that Hollywood marriages don’t last, even psychologists have pondered on this phenomena. We, however, prefer to believe in love, and one celebrity couple that makes our hearts beat faster is Will and Jada Smith. They’re already on their third decade of marriage, but it seems like they’re still in the honeymoon phase.
We at Bright Side are always happy to celebrate love and today we’re here to remind you about everything that makes Will and Jada’s relationship awesome.
Will and Jada’s romance started a bit rocky. Pinkett-Smith once revealed during an episode of her talk show that Will was still married to his first wife back when she met him. Although technically separated, the actor wasn’t officially single and even had a son. In 1995, Smith’s divorce was finalized and he married Jada 2 years later.
Jada admitted that thinking about this experience made her realize that she shouldn’t have gotten in between Will and his ex-wife: “Because I did not understand marriage, I did not understand divorce... I probably should have fell back.” Through this lesson, Jada and Will understood the sanctity of marriage, and their bond is now very obvious.
Jada is a smart woman, who seems like she wants no jealousy in her marriage. She is secure enough to give her husband freedom to make his own decisions, but also let him know she wants a man who respects her as well as himself.
As Pinkett-Smith once commented on staying faithful in marriage: “I’ve always told Will, ‘You can do whatever you want, as long as you can look at yourself in the mirror and be okay.’ Because at the end of the day, Will is his own man. I’m here as his partner, but he is his own man.” Looks like this strategy still works perfectly, even after nearly 23 years.
Will Smith was raised by a strong female figure and wouldn’t have it any other way in his household. He lets Jada run the show and knows it’ll only benefit their family’s happiness. He revealed: “Just like in my house when I was growing up, I knew that my mother was the center. If Mommy is straight, then everybody else will be. I am very clear at home that Jada’s physical, mental, and spiritual health and comfort comes first.”
Will and Jada are loving parents to son Jaden (b. 1998), daughter Willow (b. 2000), and the actor’s son Trey (b. 1992) from his first marriage. They let their children follow their hearts and supported all of their creative aspirations.
Jaden is an actor who starred alongside his famous dad in The Pursuit of Happyness and After Earth, as well as appeared in other solo projects. His sister, Willow, also exercised her acting chops as a child in I Am Legend with her dad and voiced a character in Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa as Jada’s co-star. Currently, however, Willow found her passion in music and she has released 3 studio albums so far. Willow and Jaden’s half-brother Trey also dabbles in acting.
The couple is blessed to have successful careers and a happy family, but they also give back to those who are less fortunate. They’ve established The Will & Jada Smith Family Foundation to support families and young people who are struggling with finding opportunities for themselves. The organization supports art, sustainability, education, and social stability worldwide.
Aside from working on their foundation, Will and Jada help other causes whenever they can. In 2007, the actor gave $1.3 million to various charities, while his wife actively collaborates with PETA and participates in women’s rights events.
At this point, we have no doubt that Will and Jada are soulmates. They’re playing by their own rules and seem to be perfectly comfortable. They are strong individuals, but even more admirable as a couple. Most importantly, they’ve given their hearts to each other and are still deeply in love.
Will says he’s devoted to his wife for the rest of his life: “We refer to ourselves as life partners, where you get into that space where you realize you are literally with somebody for the rest of your life. There’s no deal breakers. There’s nothing she could do — ever. Nothing [...] would break our relationship. She has my support till death and it feels so good to get to that space.”

First of all,she got between the marriage of eill and his first wife en second, she slept with marc Anthony and made jlo and marc Anthony devorce eachother..jada is nother but a whore..she said it herself that she never wanted to be married to will. Just to clarify on that will z first wife shrew divorced will and they are friends wit Jada currently.secondly the time Jada acted wit Marc,jlo and Marc weya already in the middle of a divorce.thirdly Jada didn't sleep wit Marc,it was just a rumour coz of their intimate acting n will is friends with marc .and lastly ure weird to expect 'you' from some other person z kids
You really do end up looking like your parents. Jada looks exactly like her mom. Jaden as he grows older, looks more and more like Will, like, exactly like Pops.
I love their union & admire their maturity. Black love at it’s finest!
He might not be everyone's favorite actor, but I think he is a great father!
