18 People Who Came Out to Their Grandparents Only to Find Out They Love Them No Matter What
National Coming Out Day was first celebrated in the US in 1988. When someone decides to make such a personal confession, it requires a lot of courage because you never know if your loved ones will accept you or will see you differently. But for these lucky people, it was not just a weight off their shoulders. Their grandparents turned out to be very open-minded and accepting, and surrounded them with even more care and warmth than ever before.
We at Bright Side understand how liberating coming out to your family can feel. And we can’t help but applaud these awesome grandmas and grandpas who supported their grandchildren at their most vulnerable moments.
