The average adult height around the globe is about 5’6″ for males and 5’2″ for females. And it seems that the whole world was built on the basis of these numbers. Here and there tall people have to deal with a lot of tiny troubles and inconveniences that make their life a little bit tough. Let’s take a peek at what they have to go through every day.

Some members of Bright Side have been in the same situations and felt this too. But let’s forget about all the unfairness and have a good laugh together.

LOL! my Son is 207cm (6'9") tall and still growing... (he only just turned 18 so has another two to three years of growing to do. he needs to duck through every doorway, his bed is too short , getting clothes that fit him is a nightmare! and dont start me on his shoes lol! he has shoe size 16, which means that we have to buy his shoes from a website that specializes in extra large shoes. But he has adapted fantastically! (and developed an especially hard head from all the knocks he's given himself, hehe)

all in all i am dead proud to have such a smashing son! i wouldn't change one thing about his looks/height. he is a strapping young man and my heart bursts with pride that i am his mum and he is my son. i love him to billions on tiny bits.

I'm 177cm and always had these and similar problems. The fashion industry still doesn't get it that there are women who are so tall but have little sizes, for example in pants. I never get pants that fit, either they fit in size and are significantly too short in leg length or the leg length fits and in the abdomen they are 2-3 sizes too big. Sometimes I'm lucky with men's jeans.

As a young girl I suffered the most, the boys were shorter and I thought that was awful back then. Highheals was not an issue at all, I could never wear them. On my confirmation photo you recognize me immediately, I stood over the whole group. I had shoe size 41, at that time there were virtually no fancy ladies shoes in that size.

Jackets and coats did not fit in my actual size because of the sleeve length, which I never understood. All mannequins were very slim and very tall, they fit everything, only the women who needed it could not buy it.

I always laugh about the "short" girls complaining because all clothes are to long , have you ever thought about what is "better"?? You can shorten a pants by cutting off what's too long... and what do I do?? Glue a piece of Fabric on the end of the pants ..... ???
