Much easier to take to a park than the ones with the lid because it’s lightweight and collapses into a box. You can get several burgers on at once. I love the collapsible design where the bottom drops down to create space for the coals. I put in a bag of instant coals (the ones where you burn the bag) and it was able to fit inside easily, even with the grill on top. Haven’t properly cleaned it just yet, but seemed pretty standard from what I could see. @Andy

My new kitchen essential

I had never before appreciated how important it is to rest the meat after cooking is complete. The display showed how the internal temperature continued to rise after I took the joint out of the oven. Fascinating. The MEATER+ alerted me to the end of the resting time, and we could eat!
I started with good meat but this temperature-controlled cooking ensured we ate absolutely amazing, perfectly cooked lamb. I was so pleased with myself, though the MEATER+ did all the work for me.
Next, I tried it with sirloin steak. Slipping the MEATER+ in sideways wasn’t as tricky as I had anticipated. Again, perfect cooking. This is really successful, confident cooking and although it’s not cheap to buy, the MEATER+ will make certain I never overcook, undercook or otherwise waste good food by poor cooking. @hunbun

This mat is an absolute game changer. I use a gas BBQ and as long as I’ve had it there’s been hot spots and cold spots on the grill. Pain in the neck to manage cooking evenly. Not to mention the time it takes to clean it afterwards, so I decided to take a punt on these. Best decision I’ve made on an impulse. The heat is now evenly distributed across the grill. It’s thin enough I still get the grill marks and it’s so easy to clean. Top shelf of dishwasher and done. The mats are a good size for oven cooking too.
