“It’s a Total Miracle!” Hilary Swank Revealed a Sweet Story About Her First Pregnancy at 48

Late motherhood has become more and more common, and at 48, Hollywood star Hilary Swank has announced her first pregnancy. She made an announcement in the sweetest way.

She wanted to become a mom for a long time.

The actress and her husband, social venture entrepreneur Philip Schneider, whom she calls “the man of my dreams,” met on a blind date and walked down the aisle a few years later in 2018. Their chemistry had been almost immediate on that first date, as she explained, “We met at 10:00 a.m. and parted ways at 11:00 p.m.”

Speaking of motherhood, she said, “This is something that I’ve been wanting for a long time.” She furthermore explained that twins run in her and her husband’s families. She admitted, “It’s such a blessing. It’s a total miracle. It’s unbelievable.”

Accepting challenges with humor, she shared that when she was pregnant and her clothes started not to fit, she had to “the other day... cut [my jeans] open.”

“When the time is right.”

A few years ago, when Swank was 35, she was asked whether she’s thinking about motherhood, and she had then answered, “When the time is right, I’ll know.” She added, “I am aware that next week, I turn 35. But I am also aware that the timing has to be right.”
