“I Don’t Ever Want to Be Away From Her.” Bruce Willis Had to Wait 57 Years for the Greatest Love of His Life

One of Hollywood’s action stars, Bruce Willis, is a great inspiration to romantics all over the world. He was able to find his soulmate, after an unsuccessful marriage, when he was almost 60 years old and is now living his own personal fairytale. So how did the Die Hard star achieve marital bliss and build an unbreakable blended family? All it took was a very special lady.

We at Bright Side are suckers for a good love story, and today we have one that’ll have you grinning the entire time.

Willis created a great family with his first wife, but something was missing.

In 1987, Bruce Willis married Demi Moore. These 2 Hollywood stars seemed to be the golden couple, whose happiness was hard to match. They had 3 gorgeous daughters together. What else was there to wish for? But behind their red carpet smiles was family life that just wasn’t working. The couple officially divorced in 2000.

Still, their marriage wasn’t a failure. They made a mature decision by going their own separate ways and were able to build an even stronger relationship as friends. Bruce and Demi remain close for their daughters, as can be seen often on both Demi’s and their girls’ social media accounts.

Emma came into Bruce’s life like a saving grace.

After the divorce, Willis was briefly engaged in 2004, but something didn’t feel right. It wasn’t until he met Emma Heming that he realized what he was missing. He revealed that single life was tough on him: “I spent the last 10 years single and, for the most part, unhappy. In a dark place. I never thought that being with someone else was the answer. I would say, ‘I’m alone, but I’m not lonely.’ But I was just kidding myself.”

Bruce added that Emma changed his entire outlook on love and everything suddenly fell into place: “I went from “f--- love” to “love is truly the answer... Then I started hanging around Emma, and on a day-to-day basis my life became much happier.” By 2009, Willis married Heming and they embarked on their journey as soulmates.

Willis is surrounded by more love than he could ever wish for.

Not long after the wedding, Emma and Bruce welcomed their 2 daughters Mabel and Evelyn. Suddenly, the actor was surrounded by 5 beautiful daughters, who completed his perfect blended family. All the girls get along beautifully and love to pose for lovely family photos together.

Willis is truly lucky to have so many wonderful women in his life and he doesn’t let a day go by without appreciating it. He once said: “I worship women and I always felt safer when I am around them.”

Bruce is so crazy for Emma, he married her twice.

In 2019, the happy couple decided to celebrate their 10-year anniversary by saying, “I do” all over again! Their love has only gotten stronger over the years and they wanted to declare it in front of their family, even Demi Moore was there. Heming said: “She welcomed me into her family like I welcomed her into ours.”

The vow renewal was even more special because Mabel and Evelyn were there to witness how their parents “celebrated a birth, love, and life in our happy place,” as Emma lovingly wrote in an Instagram post.

All in all, for Bruce, Emma was worth all the wait.

Bruce Willis shows us that it’s never too late to find “the one,” since he was able to do it when he was 57 years old. He often sings praises to his beautiful wife and can’t stand not being by her side: “I don’t want to be away from Emma at all. It’s the most singular relationship I’ve ever had in my life.”

As for Emma, she also knows that Bruce is her soulmate and feels blessed to share a life with him: “...We still have a date night once a week! We always try and make time for each other. My husband is super supportive — we are a good match for each other.” Our hearts feel so warm when we look at this wonderful couple!

Do you believe it’s possible to find true love way later in life? We would love to hear more inspiring love stories from you all!

I am happy for them, not everyone is lucky to find their soulmate considering in today's world you would get mocked if you claim you are looking for one. In eastern belief system its believed finding your true soulmate is one of the easiest way to Nirvana or Salvation.
