Frances Bean Cobain and Riley Hawk have secretly tied the knot, and you won’t believe what musical icon officiated their wedding!

Frances Bean Cobain and Riley Hawk recently got married in Los Angeles after obtaining a marriage license in San Diego County in September. But, they officially tied the knot on October 7, 2023, and their wedding was officiated by none other than former R.E.M frontman Michael Stipe, who also happens to be Frances’ godfather.

The couple has been in a relationship since at least January 2021, and this mark Frances’ second marriage and Riley’s first.

News of their relationship initially surfaced on Reddit when a photo of them dining together with Riley’s parents, retired professional skateboarder Tony Hawk and Catherine Goodman, was shared, garnering supportive comments from people who appreciated the unique connection between the two, given their famous parentage from the ’90s.

However, Cobain only made it official in February 2022, after sharing photos of the two together in an Instagram post. “2021 brought me more into the present moment than I’ve ever been, which I’m deeply grateful for,” she captioned it. “I wanted to share a few moments that were captured / created this past year that brought me a great amount of joy.”
