Robbie Williams Unknowingly Reunited With a Fan 20 Years Later

Robbie Williams has been performing live for 34 years. From fans grabbing him into the audience to patting his stomach to ensure he was eating enough — the star has experienced the highest of highs and lowest of lows while on stage. But what happened to him recently on a stage in Budapest was a once-in-a-lifetime occurrence that left him gobsmacked.

The “Angels” hitmaker randomly chose a fan from the audience to join him on stage, only to realize that he had picked out the exact same fan from his gig in the city 20 years earlier.

The 49-year-old singer, who is currently on his XXV European tour with support from his new band, shared the incredible coincidence on his Instagram page, posting a photo of himself with the fan from both concerts, side by side. In the latest photo, Williams can be seen resting his head on the man’s shoulder, clearly thrilled to have reunited with him after all these years.

In his Instagram post, Williams wrote, “So this happened 2 nights ago in Budapest — I chose someone from the audience to come down to the front and, amazingly, I chose the same guy that I picked out from the audience in Budapest 20 years ago! The odds of that happening? 174,240,000 to 1. Nice to see you again, sir. Love from Rob x.”

Williams’ fans couldn’t help but share their thoughts. One of his followers wrote, “There’s a reason this guy is in your life...stay connected.” Another follower commented, “Oh, that’s a sign!!! I’d tell you to go buy a lottery ticket, but you don’t need the money.”
