They look super happy, good for them!
“We Are Floating With Love” Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom Introduced Their Newborn Baby Girl to the World
In March 2020, American singer Katy Perry released her new music video “Never Worn White.” But the song wasn’t the best surprise for her fans. At the end of the video, she revealed that she and her partner, actor Orlando Bloom, were expecting their first baby. They finally got to meet their baby girl and share this happy news with the world.
Here at Bright Side we’re very happy for the couple and excited to share this news, and some interesting details, with you.
Katy and Orlando started their relationship in 2016. They split up once, but ended up back together and got engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2019. This baby is the couple’s first child together. Katy has become a mom for the first time, and for Orlando this is his first daughter and second child, since he already has a 9-year-old son.
Turns out, starting with the music video pregnancy reveal, Katy had been giving us some musical hints this whole time. In May, she released another song, “Daisies.” Who would’ve thought that this was a hint about her daughter’s name? Looks like the name of the song wasn’t just about flowers, because Katy and Orlando’s newborn baby girl’s name in Daisy Dove Bloom.
Even in the photo the happy parents shared, where they’re holding their daughter’s little hand, Katy has a daisy painted on her nail.
“We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter,” the couple said.
Both Katy and Orlando are UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors. While announcing the birth of their daughter, they set up a donation page to support expectant mothers and provide them and their newborns with quality healthcare and safety.
Do you like the name that Katy and Orlando have chosen for their daughter? What are your kids’ names?
Comments
I was skeptical of this relationship when it first started but they seem alright together, good that they found a way to make it work!
Hmm
I hope their relationship would last forever, at least for the sake of the child.
