Couple Stirs the Internet After Giving a Solid Reason Why They Chose Childfree Life

A child-free couple has recently caused a massive debate on the internet. The happy spouses explained why they don’t want to “end up miserable by having kids.” Many users immediately entered the discussion, and the whole topic turned out to be a collection of contradictory opinions.

The couple made a provocative statement that made people talk.

A child-free couple has explained why they are not planning to have children. The spouses revealed that their status as childfree people means they go on 12 holidays a year and have lie-ins every weekend.

Taylor Vasu, 28, and her husband, Justin, 27, from Orange County, California, say they don’t want to end up ’miserable by having kids’.

Taylor and Justin are intentionally childfree and call themselves DINKS, which means “dual income, no kids.”

Taylor and Justin have been together for six years. They spend their free time traveling, having spontaneous dates, working out together, and sleeping longer on the weekends.

They said they book time off work at a “week’s notice” and dedicate all this free time only to themselves. Taylor says it would be “irresponsible” for her and her husband, an IT sales executive, to have children now as they are, and they want to put this question off until they are “financially ready.”

The couple seems to be living their best life and regret nothing.

Instead of saving money for future children, the duo is saving to buy a house.

Taylor says, “Most people say when you have kids — your life will be over. It makes us not want to have any. People sometimes guilt trip me by saying my maternal clock is ticking.”

She adds, “I tell them — “You’re just mad at the consequences of your own actions, I don’t want to be miserable like you.”

Taylor and Justin believe they are living the best life now. “We can do whatever we want, whenever we want, and I don’t want to give that up,” says Taylor. The couple can travel anywhere, and Taylor says, “You rarely see a couple with a newborn traveling to Tahiti. Children are so reliant on you.”

She adds, “Our schedule is really ours to make. We love a spontaneous plan, and when you have kids, that’s not possible. Having a child is expensive. I want to buy a house and have a good solid 10-15k before I think about having a kid. We want to wait until we’re financially prepared to have children, to get the bulk of the traveling done, and to give our children the best life possible.”

And here’s yet another article with an opinion that may seem controversial to many. Some women choose to remain child-free, and they explain why they decided to follow this path consciously.

It really is up to them not to have kids, but hopefully they won't be sorry about that decision as they get older. If people really don't want to have kids, they shouldn't because they'd be terrible
parents!

I did all that at their age. Didn't think I wanted kids myself. Now I have a beautiful 2year old and she completes me. I've never loved anything so much. Not even a partner. People who have more kids than they can handle get miserable.
