Cleaning is not fun for many people. And it’s not about cleaning rooms, but also things, like toys or refrigerators. We all want things to look shiny and new, but we don’t want to spend hours cleaning. Luckily, however, the result can outweigh the effort we put in.

We at Bright Side really enjoyed the photos from people who finally decided to clean their places, items and even pets. And at the end of the article, you’ll see what happens when someone wants to clean something very thoroughly.

“Post-depression cleaning — still have a ways to go.”

Even a skillet can have a second life.

“Washed the mold off in my mother’s bathroom.”

“I’ve worn this pair at least 200 times. Fortunately, the cleaning worked.”

These stairs hadn’t been cleaned for 10 years.

Before and after 7 hours of cleaning

The fence needed some attention.

“My partner’s and my bedroom — I almost cried when I was cleaning. Just need to add pictures and plants to this room!”

The mold is gone.

“My wife kept telling me the patio chairs were filthy. I didn’t believe her until today.”

“Cleaned my fridge.”

25-year-old dirt has been removed.

An old briefcase can look like a new one.

“Returned the pool back to life.”

Even old silver can be shiny if you clean it.

“Brass pig bookends, $10! Here’s the before and after — not fully polished and cleaned yet, but it’s a huge difference!”

“Removing mold from bricks was one of the hardest jobs I’ve ever done!”

Stray cats can be cleaned not only from dirt but also from bad memories — it takes some love and care.

Bonus № 1: “I completely peeled this tangerine.”

Bonus № 2: “This peeled aloe vera leaf — It’s as slippery as ice!”

Have you ever tried to clean something hopelessly dirty? Or did you lose your patience?
