First reason is fluids are essential for your cells and your body to work, you can get headaches, leg pain and problems with your kidneys if you don't drink plenty of fluids. Secondly, you need to drink fluids to stretch your bladder so it knows it can hold a large amount of water before you have to pee. If you don't drink enough fluids to stretch your bladder then you will find your bladder thinks it needs emptying more often so it will actually do the exact opposite of what you were wanting to do! You have to give your bladder a workout and train it. If you are experiencing going to the toilet more often though it is advisable to seek medical advice incase you have urine infection or diabetes.
