Why We Shouldn’t Leave Our Bedroom Door Open at Night

Whether it gives us a chance to hear our children better or to let fresh air in, leaving the bedroom door open has proven to not be the best choice. There are a few reasons why we should make closing the door at night a habit, the most important being that it can jeopardize our safety.
Bright Side always wants to keep you safe and that is why we wanted to provide the most common reasons you need to start closing your bedroom door.
You will have a better chance to survive a fire.
If you leave your bedroom door open when you go to sleep and there is a fire, it could spread faster into your room. A closed door will give you more time to act and save yourself from the fire. It will keep the temperature in the room down to 100°F, which is a lot more bearable than 1000°F. In addition, the toxic smoke won’t spread as easily.
It blocks out the noise and will give you a more sound sleep.
It increases your chances of reacting faster in case of burglars.

A closed or, even better, a locked bedroom door can give you an opportunity to act if you hear someone has broken into your home or is about to. This will also allow you to stay safer while waiting for the police to arrive and save you.
According to Feng Shui, a closed door keeps positive energy inside.
One of the Feng Shui principles about bedrooms is to avoid sleeping with an open door. This is because all of the positive energy in the room can escape. It opens up your room to negative chi. Closing it will prevent this and give you a sense of security and safety. You will also have a calmer and more peaceful mind.
Do you sleep with an open or closed door?
Comments
I don't think we should because nobody knows whether someone wants to peek in your room.
I once heard that it's safer to keep the door closed in case of fire, because the doorframe might catch on fire if it's open so you cant run through
