10 Times Movie Makers Spent a Ton of Money on Production but Spoiled Everything With a Foolish Goof

It’s quite normal to end up with a goof in the movie during film production. Even famous film directors make them, and viewers usually don’t pay attention to these mistakes. However, when we watch a blockbuster with a multi-million budget and see serious errors, we can’t stop thinking, “Was it so difficult to be careful about the details when spending so much money?”

At Bright Side, we don’t judge moviemakers for their mistakes, we’re all human after all. But we were curious to see what goofs we could find in movies. And at the end of the article, you’ll find the bonus which proves that not only feature films have errors.

The Dark Knight Rises

Even great film directors like Christopher Nolan sometimes don’t pay attention to every single detail. The main villain Bane attacks the Gotham Stock Exchange in the morning when Gotham is washed in sunlight. After that, the criminals steal bikes, and it’s still daytime. However, just a couple of minutes later when Batman gets involved in the chase, the city suddenly goes all dark.

Star Wars: Attack of the Clones (Episode II) and Star Wars: Return of the Jedi (Episode VI)

In Star Wars: Attack of the Clones (Episode II), Anakin and Padmé land on Geonosis and enter the droid factory. They have to pass through a mechanical door. To do it, both characters have to bend down because the entrance is quite low. And while Padmé enters without touching anything, Anakin’s head literally cuts through the upper frame of the door.

By the way, a similar situation happens to him in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi (Episode VI) when he’s Darth Vader already. Vader lands on planet Endor, and while disembarking his head passes through the front of his ship.

Black Panther

In the movie, T’Challa proudly wears the amazing Black Panther’s suit. Sneakers are one of the most important parts of this superhero’s outfit. They’re intended to not make any sound so that enemies can’t hear Black Panther approaching. However, it seems that the moviemakers forgot about this feature of the magical boots at the sounding. So in some scenes, T’Challa stomps like any other person.

Captain Marvel

When one of the vicious Skrulls appears in the house of Captain Marvel’s friend, the heroine grabs a cat and threatens the alien creature with it. The Skrull backs off and we can see that his left hand touches the stairs. However, when the camera changes its angle, we see that the green villain has “moved” and now stands a bit further from the staircase and closer to the cat.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

At the beginning of the movie, Jack pretends to be a judge to set his friend Gibbs free. In the courtroom, Gibbs is dirty in appearance. However, just a couple of minutes later, when both pirates escape and get into the jail carriage, Gibbs is all cleaned up.

The Wolf of Wall Street

The Wolf of Wall Street is a black comedy crime film about the life of Jordan Belfort who was portrayed by Leonardo DiCaprio. In the scene where Aunt Emma and Jordan meet in London, there is the gilded Albert’s memorial located in the background.

But it can’t be there because the memorial was closed for restoration from 1983 to 1998. The events of the movie take place in 1987. So, we should have seen either the black statue the way it was before the restoration or the memorial hidden behind scaffolding.

Avengers: Endgame

In the scene, where Iron Man gets into the fight with Thanos alone we can see the superhero’s face close up. And it seems that everything’s fine, but in the next frame, the shape of Tony’s mustache magically changes.

A Quiet Place

A Quiet Place is a movie consisting of 2 parts in which characters live in a post-apocalyptic world. The main characters are a family with 3 kids. At the beginning of the second film, the mother leaves the house with 2 kids and a baby in her arms. After that, we immediately see flashbacks to the first film where the elder son looks much younger.

This age difference is very obvious despite the fact that there are just a few days between the first and second movies. The problem is that the actor just grew up between the production of these 2 movies, and it wasn’t taken into account in the script.

Harry Potter and The Chamber Of Secrets

There is a scene in the movie, where Draco and Harry fight with the teachers and students watching them. At the moment when Harry strikes back and Draco falls, look closely at the left corner of the screen. There is a person with a camera between the students wearing black capes.

The Tomorrow War

The Tomorrow War is a science fiction action film starring Chris Pratt. Pratt plays a soldier from the past who has been hired to fight at the war in the future. Time travel is achieved with the help of a special hand device. Initially, Chris Pratt wore this device on his left hand. However, the “Jumplink” sometimes happens to be on his right hand, and then returns to the place where it belongs.

Bonus: Frozen

When Anna and Hans are dancing at the top of the lighthouse, we can see their shadows on the sail of the ship. It all looks nice but it seems that the dark silhouettes have come to this world from another reality. The characters’ shadows don’t touch the ground, they seem to be floating in the air. Besides, we can’t see the fencing around the characters that goes around the gallery of the lighthouse.
