The couple, who was determined to give their children a normal upbringing, also works together for the Soul Foundation, which they launched in 2006. The non-profit organization aims to tackle the issues of hunger and homelessness in the United States.

“It’s a partnership,” Dorothea said. Adding to her kind words, “You have to help people when you see them suffering or injustice happening, and having the ability to do that is quite a blessing!”

These best friends and lovers merged into one family.

“We make it work, everything is possible,” said Dorothea, also sharing that the 2 have had their hiccups along the way, but their dedication to each other has kept their bond strong. They’re clearly proud and excited about their happy life.
