10 Kids Whose Chilling Words Left Parents Shaken

Life is full of mysteries that go way beyond what we can explain, and some of the strangest ones come from the tiniest humans. How is it that some kids seem to recall moments from another time, another life, with chilling detail? Are these just wild imaginations... or something more? Whether you’re a believer or a skeptic, the stories we’ve come across are enough to give you goosebumps.

  • My daughter talks about her “grandson” all the time. I thought it was just an imaginary friend, but then a couple of nights ago she came out of her room at bedtime absolutely sobbing and said “I’m sad because I miss my grandson. He lives in my old house in my old neighborhood”. She has never lived anywhere other than this apartment. © Bill**********21 / Reddit
  • My family took everyone on a trip to see their old neighborhood. They drove by a house where, about 15 years earlier, a little girl passed away after an accident. My cousin, who was about 4 at the time, never had been in the neighborhood, and never heard this story, stopped what she was doing and said, “Oh, that’s where I passed away, isn’t it?” She then resumed playing with her dolls. © westsideHK / Reddit
  • My 3-year-old, while we were looking out our front window, casually said, “When I was your age, I had a black cat.” I asked, “Oh, and what was your cat’s name?” She replied, “He didn’t have a name, but my son’s name was Ira.” She has never heard that name before in her life.

  • One morning, I drove my youngest to her daycare. She looked out the window and pointed to the hill on the other side of town telling me that she used to live there. I didn’t put much thought into it because we moved not long ago and our condo was the direction that she was looking at. Some days later, we were driving on the freeway, she looked out the window and pointed to the hill, telling me she used to live on that hill in the pink house. She had two daughters and a cat. And one day the house was on fire. I asked where she read that story, and she said no, she was that old lady. © Notrememberusername / Reddit
  • When he was around 4, my grandson used to talk about his job at the ice factory. One day he was talking about his boss “Farvo” and the day he quit. I asked him why he quit and he turned to me and quite passionately said, “I’ll tell you why I quit! They made me work 15 days in a row without a break, and I had enough of that!” It was weird hearing all that righteous anger coming out of that little boy. © Mmartinez59 / Reddit
  • My daughter used to randomly start crying, and when asked what was wrong, she would say she missed her brother John, genuinely upset. She was an only child at the time. She was maybe 3 years old, and it happened on multiple occasions over about 6 months.

  • When my son was around 4, he asked my wife about “the house that you and Grandpa owned together.” They never owned a house together. But when I asked for more information, he replied without hesitation, “You know, the house that was burned down by the volcano.”

  • My daughter would wake up crying hysterically for her other parents. She kept insisting that they had passed away in a fire and she had been sent to live with her grandma Chili in Mississippi. © Unknown user / Reddit
  • My son and I were talking about my nursing school assignments, and he said, “Well, I kinda know this stuff anyway.” I asked, “You do?” and he replied, “Yeah, I was a doctor once, but it was like 500 years ago, and I think I died when I was around 33.” © vforvendetta84 / Reddit
  • My mom died 11 days before my son was born. My daughter was 3 at the time. When she was 20, I was telling a friend how my mom had died before my son was born. My daughter said, “No, she didn’t.” I replied, “I think I know when my mother died.”

What my daughter said next made my blood run cold. She said that Granny came to the hospital to see me, sat with her in the back of the car, and pointed to Blue Ted in the shop, which is why we bought him. She then went on to tell me who was in the hospital room when they arrived. Granny sat at the window, she said. It gave me comfort and sure makes you think.
