22 People That Were Fortunate Enough to Inherit Special Things

Sometimes things that seem ordinary at first glance may contain unique stories and memories about people and events. For this article, we created a list of things that people were lucky enough to inherit, gaining not just a new piece, but years of history as well.

We at Bright Side are excited about every single object on the list and want to share them with our readers.

1. “My uncle’s 56-year-old tortoise he inherited from my grandparents”

2. “I inherited my grandma’s sewing supplies and as I was putting them away, I realized I bought the exact same buttons that she did over 35 years ago for me.”

3. “I tried on my mom’s wedding dress from 1985.”

4. “Today we inherited my boyfriend’s grandfather’s vinyl collection.”

My grandparents really took care of their things like many of the grandparents mentioned in the article. It makes my heart happy that family members are cherishing their memories and seeing sentimental value in these items. Quite jealous of the album collection. Listened to Bing, Tennessee Ernie Ford, and the Mary Poppins original soundtrack with my grandparents on their record player. They were born in 1924.
