The Sex and the City star is fed up with mean comments about her age, and we can feel her frustration. After being ridiculed for her looks for over two decades, Sarah Jessica Parker finally gave her response, and it made us all say “you go, girl!” And yet, she gave once confession that surprised us, but made us admired her even more.

Her looks have always been a source of debates.

With the rise of Sex and the City, Sarah Jessica Parker found herself in demanding shoes, similar to the ones her character Carrie would run around New York in. Parker was the face of a steamy no-boundaries show, which didn’t let the fashion icon status wait too long. But with big success, come harsh critics.

From South Park to various tabloids, Sarah was getting mocked for her appearance. Her unconventional beauty became a cause for jokes from some people, while others continued to highlight and praise her fashion icon status. Nevertheless, Parker never stopped shining on Sex and the City and continued to do so today.

She’s tired of being judged for her age.

While Parker has always been classy enough not to comment on unwarranted comments about her beauty, she has addressed haters before. When SJP returned to the sequel of SATC And Just Like That... she had to deal with a lot of attention on her and her co-stars, especially when it came to a matter of their age. The 58-year-old actress has naturally aged since the iconic show ended, so her return to the spotlight was guaranteed to ruffle some feathers.

Parker shared in an interview that she was shocked by the response to her age on social media. Suddenly, people were pointing out her gray hair, her wrinkles, it all became too much. She said: “I know what I look like. I have no choice. What am I going to do about it? Stop aging? Disappear?” Sarah also brought up a good point that attention like this would never happen to a man.

But she admits she’d like to change a few things.

Interestingly, despite standing up to critics, Parker remains objective about her looks and revealed a very curious opinion she has on herself. The iconic actress once admitted she wishes that she’d done something about her age a decade or so ago. She said: “You know, I missed out on the facelift. Like an old-fashioned good one that you have when you’re like 44.”

But Sarah hasn’t even done Botox, instead, she prefers regular visits to her dermatologist. Still, she doesn’t judge anyone who undergoes more drastic procedures since there’s so much attention being paid to how people look in our society. We love an open-minded queen!

What she does to remain luminous.

Aside from being friendly with her dermatologist, SJP keeps a tight skincare routine. In the morning, she likes to use a jade roller, which is believed to take off the puffiness in the face and awaken the skin. Then, moisturizing is, of course, key to keeping her skin happy. You’d be surprised, but Parker barely ever wears makeup, and only does it unless necessary.

Other than that, Sarah makes sure to eat healthy and take vitamins, but she admits that she doesn’t have an all-solving supplement that’ll make anyone look perfect. She keeps it simple, and it does exactly what it supposed to for her. And if you’re looking for tips for women a bit older, say, over 60-70, then Goldie Hawn has got your back.
