New York Fashion Week is a prestigious moment for designers and fashion lovers. And while many outfits make waves, one in particular has raised eyebrows, though perhaps not for the right reasons.

Hosted by the social media agency Creators Inc., the catwalk was bustling with models showcasing their styles. Then, an unexpected figure emerged on the New York runway, donning a shower cap, swim shorts, and a plastic cape-like garment over their bare torso. It resembled either a trash bag or one of those disposable ponchos often distributed at rainy festivals. In any case, it made a bold statement.

The individual was initially welcomed like any other model, with cheers and applause echoing through the venue. However, appearances can be deceiving.

As the “model” approached the end of the runway, a security officer was seen in hot pursuit. Finally, at the runway’s end, the security guard apprehended and removed the intruder, leaving the audience bewildered.

As it turned out, this unconventional “model” was not there to showcase fashion but was, in fact, an intruder.

The video of the incident circulated on social media, prompting various reactions. One commentator humorously remarked, “That is not garbage but garbagé.” Another quipped, “These runway outfits get trashier every year.” A third admitted to briefly mistaking the intruder for genuine fashion, saying, “I literally thought new fashion.”

This incident is not the first time someone has sparked a conversation in the fashion world. Recently, Kendall Jenner hit the headlines by wearing a curious outfit while catwalking. But in her case, it wasn’t a mock design. It was a piece made by Jacquemus.
