Katherine Heigl Responds to the Rumor That She’s “Very Rude”

Katherine Heigl found herself in an awkward situation as she had to respond to a fan’s super honest and daring question. And we think the way she handled it was so perfect.

The bold question

During a Facebook event for the promotion of the State of Affairs TV series, the actress and her castmates were gathered for a Q&A session. And one of the more than 3 million participants asked Heigl an unexpected question. They wrote, ’’I’ve heard rumors that you’re very rude. What are your thoughts?’’

Her honest and powerful answer

The question was based on the frequent reports about Heigl presenting some challenges when collaborating with others.

The actress responded in a partially humorous manner, saying, ’’Yeah I’ve heard those too...honestly I don’t think I am...’’ She added, ’’Nothing makes me more uncomfortable than confrontation or hurting someone’s feelings and I would never, ever actively do so on purpose.’’

The Grey’s Anatomy alumni went on admitting that she has naturally ’’made mistakes and unwittingly or carelessly spoken or acted’’ just like any other human being, however she noted, ’’I always try to make any wrong right.’’

She also shared that she makes sure to stand up for herself ’’by drawing boundaries and asking to be treated kindly and respectfully.’’ Having said that, the star insisted that she doesn’t do it ’’with any rude or unkind intentions.’’

We applaud Katherine for her honest and brave response. And we also admire her devotion to her kids who she took some time away from Hollywood for.
