Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson Welcome Baby No. 2 After Pregnancy Struggles
It wasn’t easy for reality star Khloé Kardashian and professional basketball player Tristan Thompson to grow their family. Apart from their rocky, on-and-off relationship, Khloé struggled with fertility problems. But these didn’t stop them from “bringing more love into their lives.”
In this article, Bright Side will give you a glimpse of their challenging pregnancy journey, which ultimately led to the arrival of their newest bundle of joy.
The two are already co-parenting their first child, True.
Khloé and Tristan officially became a couple in 2016. A year later, Khloé announced on Instagram that she was carrying their first child, which she described as her greatest dream. However, the pair broke up shortly after their daughter, True, was born.
Khloé and Tristan didn’t let their differences affect their role as parents. Khloé has allowed Tristan to bond with their baby, and according to an article, he “has been working hard to prove himself.” In 2020, the lovebirds reconciled and got back together.
Khloe opened up about her difficulties with pregnancy.
In the final season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Khloé spoke to her sister Kim about her fertility struggles. The doctor had informed Khloé that she would be a high-risk carrier for another pregnancy, and that there was an 80% chance that she would miscarry. “I almost miscarried with True at the beginning. But I didn’t know that was like a lingering thing,” she shared.
Kim, who had two babies via surrogacy, encouraged her sister to explore the option of having someone else carry the baby for them. She explained that surrogacy was one of her best experiences — “I think that you know what giving birth feels like. Like I always say if you can do it, it’s such an amazing experience. But you’ll see that the love you have for your kids is exactly the same.”
Khloe and Tristan decided to go for a surrogate this time.
The two eventually split again, but before that, Khloé and Tristan have made embryos through In Vitro Fertilization. Khloé also explained in an episode of their reality show that they’ve hired a surrogate agent, who helped them find the best fit for their family by filtering through the candidates.
The reality star later confirmed that baby no. 2 was conceived in November of 2021 and that she “is incredibly grateful to the extraordinary surrogate for such a beautiful blessing.”
The ex-couple finally welcomed True’s little sibling.
4-year-old True (pictured above) is officially a big sister now, as online news sites announce the arrival of Khloé and Tristan’s baby boy. As of writing, no official photos of the newborn have been released yet. But Khloé shared a cute pic of True in an Instagram post, with the caption “My happy sweet girl.”
One source also revealed that Khloé has been taking her time in choosing the name for her baby, and that she is very excited to be a mom again.
