How to Turn Your Favorite Chocolate Chip Cookies Into Cereal With a Yummy Food Trend

When popular food blogger Justin Schuble showed how he turns chocolate chip cookie dough into cereal, he launched a new food trend on social media. It turned out that people love the satisfying taste of chocolate chip cookies with milk so much, that they instantly took this idea and started cooking their own yummy cereal at home.

Here’s how Wendy Kou, a popular food blogger and cookie baker on Instagram, cooks this chocolate chip cookie cereal.


  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup white granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 large egg, at room temperature
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 2 cups mini chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup sprinkles

Making the cookie cereal:

  • Mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  • Mix the butter and the sugars for 2-3 minutes using a mixer.
  • Lower the mixer speed and add the egg, heavy cream, and vanilla extract.
  • Add the flour mixture to the mix.
  • Add 1.5 cups mini chocolate chips and stir.
  • Using a 1 tsp measuring spoon make mini cookies and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Top the cookies with mini chocolate chips and sprinkles.
  • Place the cookies in the refrigerator or freezer for 20-30 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • Then bake the cookies for 8-10 minutes.

Finally, add some milk and enjoy your breakfast!
