year ago

Everyone goes through ups and downs, and celebrities’ lives aren’t any different. Singer Jessie J proved exactly that after announcing her pregnancy one year after suffering a miscarriage. The news came as a surprise to both fans and fellow celebrities.

The announcement came on Instagram.

The British star, born Jessica Cornish, recently announced to her 12.4 million Instagram followers that she was pregnant. “I’m so happy and terrified to finally share this,” she wrote. Cornish also took the opportunity to poke fun at the emotional rollercoaster that comes with pregnancy, adding: “Honestly, I just want to ugly cry in public in a catsuit, eating a chocolate-covered pickle with no questions asked.”

Everyone is showing support, including other celebrities.

The singer, who’s in her first trimester, has received a wave of support from other people in the entertainment business. In the comment section of her announcement post, countless celebrities left a message of congratulations. “You look completely radiant and full of joy. Many congratulations, my love,” wrote Ellie Goulding.

The singer has been upfront about the grief of losing a pregnancy.

A year ago, she revealed on Instagram, in a now-deleted post, that she had suffered a miscarriage after deciding to have a baby on her own. Since then, the singer has been honest about dealing with such a loss.

In a heartfelt note left on her Instagram, the 34-year-old said that the grief, paired with her difficulties of becoming a mom, were overwhelming. “I could go through this moment in private and usually do, but today I am here because I know thousands of people around the world feel just like I do,” said Jessie J.
