8 Professional Tips to Combat Bulldog Cheeks Naturally

Too much sun exposure, weight loss, aging, and pregnancy can lead to saggy skin and bulldog cheeks. All these factors can be beatable if you know how to take care of your face in the proper way. But there are also some additional tips that can boost the results of your daily skin care regimen.

We at Bright Side support each person who would like to prolong their natural beauty and found 8 professional tips that can help you with this.

1. Perform facial exercises 3-5 times a week.

Nivea dermatologists recommend doing facial exercises. They say there are 5 benefits to doing them, which include:

  • Strengthening the muscles of your face
  • Preventing and reducing wrinkles
  • Increasing blood circulation that betters the quality of your skin
  • Reducing tension in the face and neck so that your face looks more relaxed and less tired
  • Tightening the facial skin

But you should remember that you won’t be able to see results quickly. To get the maximum effect, you need to do these exercises 3-5 times a week, for around 20 minutes each time.

2. Perform facial exercises when you lay down.

Performing facial exercises lying down is the most effective way to do them and it gives faster results. You have to create resistance to build muscle fiber properly. This can be done best when you are lying down, lifting and holding your head in various ways.

It doesn’t mean that when you are sitting up, facial yoga is not effective. It still works and you can do it whenever you don’t have a chance to lie down during the day.

3. Try to do your facial fitness routine at the same time every day.

Persistence is important in facial yoga. You need to do it every day to get better and faster results. But sometimes, we are so busy that we simply forget about it. You can set an alarm on your phone to remind you about your beauty procedures. Slowly this will become a habit. And that is exactly what we need.

4. Combine facial exercises with cardiovascular exercise.

To get a boost, add some cardiovascular exercises into your life along with facial exercises, experts say. For these purposes, there is no need to go to the gym. You can go fast-walking or jogging or even put on a YouTube tutorial at home on aerobic dance classes.

5. Use a vitamin A-derivative cream.

Yes, creams can be a lot of help too. If you’ve noticed that your skin is getting saggy, purchase vitamin A-derivative creams, like Tretinoin and Retinoic Acid, dermatologists suggest. It will stimulate the building blocks of the skin and help to fix you from the inside out.

Use it every day, along with doing facial exercises, to see results.

6. Use supplements containing ingredients like collagen and hyaluronic acid.

We lose collagen and our skin becomes less elastic as we age. To freeze the process, we need to bring this ingredient back. Studies showed that oral supplements containing ingredients like collagen and hyaluronic acid can help to reduce sagging skin related to aging.

Just consult with your doctor and follow the instructions for daily consumption.

7. Look for skin products containing 15% to 20% vitamin C.

Lack of vitamin C disrupts the body’s ability to produce collagen and this also leads to saggy cheeks. Products with this ingredient are very important for your skin, so add beauty products into your daily routine that contain 15% to 20% vitamin C. For example, this could be a facial serum that you can start your morning routine with.

8. Relax your neck during exercises.

Experts say that it is false that running causes your face to sag. There are actually only 2 age-related reasons for the sagging: loss of collagen and loss of facial fat, which causes the skin to droop.

But dermatologist Fredric Brandt says that he sees many women who try to strengthen the muscles of their neck which eventually leads to the pulling down their facial skin. He recommends relaxing your face during a workout.

What do you normally do to prevent saggy skin? What secrets do you have that’ve helped you to get rid of bulldog cheeks?
