“I Watched ‘Devil Wears Prada’ About 75 Times,” John Krasinski Shares How He Fell for Emily Blunt
Many of us like good romance stories that have with a happy ending. That’s exactly what happened in the case of actors Emily Blunt and John Krasinski, who ended up caught in a love story that has lasted 12 years and counting. But little did they know it would all start when he was just a regular fan watching one of the world’s favorite movie.
Bright Side wants to share with you this peculiar love story that’s full of humor and, of course, romance.
Emily Blunt and John Krasinski are one of Hollywood’s most heartwarming couples, but this fantastic couple never planned to have such a long-lasting relationship. In fact, it didn’t even seem to be a way for them to end up together. Krasinski himself has stated more than once that he didn’t think their first meeting would go well, as he never imagined that he would be Blunt’s ideal man. He even thought about sabotaging their first date.
Despite this, she immediately realized that he was the love of her life. This came to Krasinki’s surprise, too, who has confessed he was a big fan of The Devil Wears Prada: “I had seen it about 75 times. I’m lucky she stayed with me and didn’t realize she had married a stalker.”
It was 2008, when this nice couple met by chance in a restaurant in Los Angeles. As both have stated, it was thanks to a mutual friend that they started talking. Krasinski’s sense of humor won her over instantly, as he made her laugh all night.
According to Krasinski he is the luckiest one of the two, as he never dreamed of ending up with someone like Emily. He has even confessed that he tried to sabotage the first date, so he wouldn’t have to endure disappointment later on, and took her to a shooting range. But to his surprise and against all odds, the date went very well.
Emily Blunt said several times that having met Krasinski is something that changed her life completely, because besides having been together for 12 years, they became parents twice already and have even worked together in some projects. In fact, that is also one of the reasons for their fame, as together they are an amazingly talented couple.
A sign of the love, affection, admiration and respect they have for each other was when in 2019, Emily Blunt won Best Supporting Actress at the SAG Awards for A Quiet Place, and at the awards ceremony she used the moment to dedicate some touching words of love to her partner and love of her life. Acts like these make us continue to believe in love.
A Quiet Place is precisely one of the projects in which both actors have collaborated together. And it is a work that they have dedicated to their two beautiful daughters. This is why both are emerging as one of the most popular couples of the showbiz. Stories like these show us that coincidences (or miracles) exist and love too.
Currently, the couple continues to collaborate to come up with more projects together. That’s why they could be crowned as the perfect couple in Hollywood. A new generation of talented couples has arrived, and it seems that their love will be long-lasting and will continue to pay off both professionally and personally.
What do you think is the key to an endearing and long-lasting relationship these days?
