But what does not change is the taste of designers to innovate and create different and even daring things, which undoubtedly stand out on the catwalks.And a clear example of this is shoes, which allow us to have a wide variety of designs, sizes, and colors, to choose the one that best matches our style.

And every day that goes by, there is something new that is being conceived and being put into production. Thankfully, we have the internet to look into and see all these wonderful designs that pop up in different parts of the world.

The name Martha Harper is known to very few, but her inventions are still used by many beauty salon visitors. This unique lady made her way from a servant to the owner of a beauty salon chain with over 500 stores. It was Martha who came up with hairdressing salons as they are known today and created a line of hair care products and gave the chance to hundreds of non-wealthy women to start their own businesses.

Nowadays we are used to seeing new objects, and innovation in general, pretty much everywhere. However, this wasn’t always the case. In the past, things also changed more slowly. And sometimes, some of these products or objects from the past get buried somewhere, whether that is our house or somewhere in our city. They stay there, intact, like in a time capsule, and when we discover them, we are surprised at how much the world has changed since they were forgotten there.

Some of you are already familiar with Boyan Slat and his dream-project for ridding the ocean of pollution once and for all. Together with his team, Boyan has been fighting the Great Pacific garbage patch for 2 years, collecting plastic pieces even as tiny as one millimeter. Fortunately, he and his team didn’t stop there. They came up with something they call the Interceptor, an autonomous cleaning system for rivers that is placed in the hull of an electric boat.

If you look closely, you’ll find that you are surrounded by genius design. These masterpieces not only include buildings, but even the objects that we use on a daily basis, like a dustpan that looks like a violin or a nail polish bottle that has a color swatch so you can check and see how the color looks on you.

When it comes to science, many might be tempted to think that only adults can achieve great things. Nevertheless, there are kids with brilliant minds whose ideas could turn the world upside down for the better and maybe even save the environment. That’s what happened in the case of Xóchitl Cruz, a Mexican girl who wanted to help people with low incomes gain access to warm water at home. To make this happen, she built a boiler powered by solar energy with nothing more than recycled materials. Her invention had such a positive impact across the country that, even at just under 8 years old, she won the Nuclear Science Institute Award for Women given by the most renowned public university in Mexico, the National Autonomous University of Mexico (known as UNAM).

The internet is full of fashion geniuses ready to be discovered, but that for some reason, have not yet reached their full potential.
