In his book, The Great Gatsby, F. Scott Fitzgerald said, "And so with the sunshine and the great bursts of leaves growing on the trees, just as things grow in fast movies, I had that familiar conviction that life was beginning over again with the summer." And we can't help but agree with that! That's why this summer we want you to feel great and live your best life.

With that said, Bright Side has collected some tips and tricks that hopefully will make this summer season a little bit easier.

1. Use baby powder as a deodorant.

Try putting some baby powder on your underarms to prevent odor and wetness. It's made from pure cornstarch (which you also can use if you don't want to pay more for the name brand baby powder) and has excellent absorbing qualities. You can also put some in your shoes if your feet tend to sweat and smell.

2. Elastics on your sunglasses

Isn't it annoying when your sunglasses won't stay in place and you constantly have to adjust them? Well, here is the solution: Try putting little clear elastics on each end of your sunglasses. This will help them not to slide off of your face.

3. Coconut oil

Want to get in the pool but are worried about your hair drying out from the chlorine? Here is the solution: Before going in the pool, put some coconut oil on your hair. This will add a nice shine and will prevent the hair from getting gross and dry.

4. Darker foundation

Getting tan in the summer is inevitable, but buying a new foundation shade each time you grow a shade darker is not. Simply add some liquid bronzer into your foundation before application and blend it well until you have the shade that matches your skin.

5. Coffee ice

Hot summers call for cold drinks! How many of you enjoy starting your day with a refreshing glass of ice coffee? And how many of us wish it wasn't watered down with tons of ice? To avoid this, you can just pour regular black coffee in an ice cube tray, freeze it, and use these instead of regular ice.

6. Dry your underarms.

Excessive sweating happens to all of us, especially in the summer. If you don't want to have wet underarms and you're wearing a T-shirt, simply put a panty liner on the underarm part of your T-shirt. Just make sure that the sleeves are long enough and the material is not see-through.

7. Ziplock case

Want to keep your phone away from sand, dirt, and water during a trip to the beach? Just put it into a ziplock bag. Since it's clear and thin you will still be able to use your phone as usual without worrying that something may happen to it.

8. Aloe vera ice

Sometimes you can lose track of time while you're laying in the sun and end up with a nasty sunburn. A nice way to soothe red, irritated skin is to use some aloe vera gel on the place of your burn. But an even better way to put the gel on is to put it in an ice cube tray, freeze it, and then use the cubes to bring some relief to the affected parts of your body.

9. Keep your bra from falling down.

Over the last few years, strapless and cold shoulder tops and dresses have become extremely trendy. Unfortunately, bra straps don't look very good peaking out of this style clothing. But what do you do if your strapless bra keeps sliding down everytime you wear it?

You can line it with a special glue. This will let your bra stick better to your skin and you won't be in an awkward situation ever again. You can also use some white craft glue (not super glue) but make sure you're not allergic to it before applying.

10. Windproof skirt

How many times have you not put on a skirt because it was too windy outside for it? With this life hack, you will finally be able to do so. Just take some coins, put them on the inside bottom of your skirt where the seam is and secure them with fashion tape. Now you won't feel like Marilyn Monroe ever again.
