I Refuse to Earn Less Just Because They Found a Cheaper Version of Me

I had a similar situation. I was offer a 30%raise to come back after giving my resignation. I sided on loyalty and declined the new job offer that I had previously accepted and stuck with my long term employer. That loyalty was misplaced. They resented me for 'extorting' a raise from them and out relationship was never the same. I left with the next offer and never looked back.
You wouldn't take back a woman that took money from you so why would you take back an employer doing the same?

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER even consider such a counteroffer. They are only trying to intice you to stay because they've realised you weren't quite as replaceable as they thought YET. But in a very short time you will be, and then they will punish you for standing up for yourself, and you will have lost not only the extra 10% but your Employment as well. Take the other Company's genuiene offer.
If you stay, there's possibility you get abused as revenge. Up to you tough.
