Individual style preferences form throughout the years. However, a style habit can actually act against you and your current age.

9. Maintain outfit proportions.
If you closely follow the latest style changes, you know that it’s crucial to consider proportions. They can make or break your outfit. Wide-legged pants go much better with a slim-fitted top. Likewise, an oversized T-shirt should be worn with skinny jeans — this combination creates a good geometrical contrast. A good note to keep in mind is to choose the right clothes for your body size. Your clothes shouldn’t fit too loosely and hide your beauty. On the other hand, overly tight clothes can spoil your overall look.
8. Combine accessories.
When it comes to dressing stylishly, the trio (shoes, bags, and belts) must not match, but they should “go together.” Matching colors are an outdated rule that’s out of style now. If you want looks that kill, just add one bright feature. For the rest of the outfit, stick mostly with neutral colors.
7. Opt for belts.
Baggy clothes make you look very untidy and messy, adding extra pounds and years to your total look. Are you sure you want that? We didn’t think so. To complete your outfit, use the power of a belt. It will accentuate your curves and create a vibe that’s light and breezy. It’s worth a try.
6. Move on from teenage outfits.
Style rules change with age. Don’t believe that you’ll be wearing the same kind of outfits that you wore back when you were 16. Glitter jeans and a cartoon T-shirt won’t make you look any younger. On the contrary, they’ll emphasize the age difference and make your look quite inappropriate. Classic blue jeans and a plain white T-shirt are a much better choice for a stylish and young look.

Glasses acquired strong fashion potential a long time ago. It’s an affordable accessory that helps you style up your face. However, the wrong size frame or style can completely spoil your look. There are a lot of different designs now, so it isn’t too hard to find one that suits you best.
4. Try a shorter hairstyle.
Long sleek hair makes age-related changes on your face more obvious. Give priority to shoulder bobs or short layers if you’re not in the mood for a big change. They’ll make you look younger and brighten up your complexion.
3. Perfect your manicure.
Your hands reveal your age first. Purple, peach, and pearl pink colors make your hands look older than they really are, creating a bad contrast with your skin. To make your hands look younger, use colors that visually brighten up your skin: dove beige, shiny white, or creamy white. An oval nail shape is the best choice for a simple and classic manicure to elongate your nails.
2. Apply blush correctly.
The rule goes that blush should be applied on the apples of the cheeks, but that’s only true for young girls. The shape of your face changes with time, and this type of application emphasizes unwanted wrinkles. To achieve a lifting effect using only your blush, apply it horizontally from the apples of your cheeks along your cheekbones to your temples.
1. Apply bronzer with care.
Apply the bronzer with a 3-way movement: from the middle of the forehead moving sideways to the center of the cheek and to your chin and neck. This method will help you look tan, and your face will acquire a brightened look.
