“We Have That Extra Layer of Trust,” Dwayne Johnson and Lauren Hashian Reveal Secrets to Their Relationship That’s Solid as a Rock

Humor in relationships is very important — it could be the key to a happy, long-lasting union. Dwayne Johnson and Lauren Hashian are one of those couples to prove it. Apparently, all that was needed for a tough rock was some laughter to soften it up.

A story that started 16 years ago

Dwayne Johnson and Lauren Hashian met 16 years ago during the filming of The Game Plan movie. They started dating after one year, in 2007. It was only after he and Dany Garcia, his first wife, got separated. Johnson considers himself to be a fortunate man for having found love for the second time in his life. He said in an interview, “To fall in love again? That’s a hard thing to do twice in the position I’m in. I’m so lucky.”

Their secret to a happy marriage

The couple decided to live together at the very beginning of their relationship, which was around 2007. He said in an interview with Esquire in 2015 that he tries his best to keep a good balance between his career and home life, and he likes to keep his home life more private.

Little Jasmine was their Christmas joy.

Even though Johnson had a child from his previous marriage, it did not diminish the joy of having their first daughter together. Jasmine was born one week before Christmas, where Johnson posted on his Instagram, “Christmas came early,” with a photo of him and Jasmine on his chest. He talked about the strength of his wife, also mentioning her beauty.

Dwayne Johnson’s soft side appeared publicly.

In his interview with People in 2016, Johnson described his relationship with Hashian as the greatest because of the humor found in it. He explained that they make each other laugh and tease each other about everything. Johnson was crowned as the “Sexiest Man Alive” and apparently, Hashian wasn’t surprised because she sees her back-then-boyfriend as such.

Jasmine announces that she will have a baby sister.

In December 2018, the couple announced that they were having another baby girl, Tia. Johnson revealed it through an Instagram post of their first daughter, Jasmine, making a big Christmas announcement.

In his caption, he wrote, “All girls. One dude. And a boy dog. I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Wedding season was on and off and on again.

The couple planned to get married even before Tia was born, but when they found out they were pregnant, they postponed the wedding. Johnson explained that his wife didn’t want to take wedding pictures with a big belly.

He referred to Hashian as his wife, even though they were not married yet. He said he was not in a hurry. Eventually, they got married in August 2019, in Hawaii.

She even wrote a song for him.

After a year of being married, Hashian released a song, titled Step Into a Love Like This. It was a song she had written and presented to her husband as they walked down the aisle at their wedding.

Today, the couple is still going strong, staying private, and showing love and support for one another. Hashian said that Johnson’s humor is her favorite thing about her husband.
