True. A lot of the information here either are misleading, misunderstood by the writer, misinformation, or really outdated.

As a real Malay Malaysian, i have to disagree with a lot of information here. Most of the information here are talked in a way that seems that makes it seems like Malay tradition is a bad, and very bad. I have been reading brightside since long while, and i have seen this kind of post of which seems to indirectly trying to give misinformation and bad reputation to malay tradition and institution for few times in this Brightside.

Let me get straight. Stop spouting lies and twisted words. I used to like brightside, but this kind of post makes me want to puke.

And Malaysia is a mixed race country that mainly have malay, chinese and indian and because sometimes they talk in their native language, Gov have to write in mandarin and tamil you said???

Hey what are you talking about. In Malaysia, our native language, lingua franca (among malaysian), and national language is MALAY. So what native are you talking about???? Are you saying Malaysian Chinese are China native and Malaysian Indian are India native? Are you trying to indirectly spark the controversy and racial issue here?

And you writing about a former Sultan with that fun-fact like writing can be considered as heresy. Even making like the former Sultan was the bad one when it was clear that his former wife was the bad one. Just search that woman name + scandal and you can see tons of it and why would sultan divorce her. She was basically a big scammer, and that kid is not former Sultan's heir at all. She had scandal all over the place, and yet she dare making that claim. And you saying as if she was the victim was totally writing an indirect misinformation and misleading article.

There's also about things that has to do with traditions. Almost none of the Malay do those tradition anymore, and in the first place, in Malay we have several tribe-like or ethnic that have very different culture and values. The one you said is one of the most unhygienic one, and nobody did that anymore.

Walao! malay woman did not wash their hair after giving birth?? Are you serious? I never heard or never even see anyone who is Malay ever do this "tradition" anymore, and I am a pure malay here.

The one who write this article, are you malaysian chinese or indian? If so thats explain why you used the word "native".. if you hate to speak in Malay that much, you can go back to your NATIVE country you know.

Also, your writing about child naming by the use of chicken and insects, is totally do not apply to peninsular malaysia. It is probably apply in sabah and sarawak only, but the way you write things make it seems like thats how it applies to the whole malaysia.

Please. I used to like Brightside. It gave me a lot of information, but if all the information is biased and misinformation like this one, i don't even know how i can believe this site anymore. I might even block it from my news feed.
