A Desperate Mom Fearing For Disabled Daughter’s Life Receives Miraculous Aid From Beloved Celebrity

Carolynne Hunter was doing everything she could to provide her kids with everything they needed. Especially her little disabled daughter who is entirely dependent on medical equipment. But the costs were raising despite all the cuts off until the poor woman realized soon enough she wouldn’t be able to pay for it all. Desperate, she asked for help online, and it came from the most unexpected person.

The family had to cut all the expenses but still, their bills were enormous.

Carolynne Hunter is now a mother of four. And unfortunately, her 12-year-old daughter Freya suffers from cerebral palsy as well as several other severe health problems and disabilities. To survive, the girl receives high nursing support and entirely relies on the oxygen she receives because of chronic breathing problems.

But running all the necessary equipment and heat at home costs their family £6,500 ($7,600) a year. And they already had to cut back in recent months to keep the costs as low as possible. They even left Freya’s room the only one that was heated to keep the girl comfortable and have no problems with healthcare workers after all.

When the mother saw who donated the money she couldn’t believe her eyes.

Earlier, the mother launched a campaign to help her raise money for the equipment costs to keep her daughter alive. Her annual price for electricity and gas was forecasted to be likely around £17,000 ($20,000). Days after, she received a donation of the same sum marked “Kate Winslet and family”.

Hunter was overwhelmed by the star’s generosity and said Winslet also reached out to her family to wish them well. “When I heard about the money,” recalls the mother, “I just burst into tears — I thought it wasn’t even real. I’m still thinking, is this real?”

And money really came from the celebrity.

Winslet is really a patron of Go Beyond, a charity that helped Hunter to raise money to pay astronomical home energy bills and keep her daughter’s life-support equipment running. Though the star’s representatives and she herself yet haven’t commented on the life-saving donation.

Of course, even celebrities can’t help every family in the world. Yet, with their involvement, we always can raise money for all the children in need. All in all, love and kindness are still the things that make us human.
