A Simpsons Short Tells the Story of Hope That Will Touch Even the Coldest Heart
The Simpsons were first broadcasted 30 years ago, but this series still hasn’t lost its relevance. Their 5-minute animated short was even nominated for Oscar. In the film, Maggie is enrolled at a new daycare facility where she had to save her new friend from a cruel and mean toddler.
We at Bright Side invite you to have a look at this witty cartoon, which is pertinent for both adults and kids.
In this animation, Maggie had her first starring role and this little animated character couldn’t avoid being labeled.
Unfortunately, it’s pretty common for us to believe a stereotype about a “group of people” that we have put into a certain category. While it’s easy to judge and label people as “dumb,” “ugly,” or “not creative,” these categories are unfair and they limit our opportunities.
But a child’s bravery is irresistible and when the day simply couldn’t get any worse, this kid not only kept her spirit, but also saved the life of a new friend.
The Simpsons satirizes most aspects of ordinary life, and “The Longest Daycare” isn’t an exception. It’s funny to watch, and go through all the adventures together with Maggie.
For those who are surrounded by things that aren’t the most colorful and cheerful, and by people around are cruel and ill-tempered — the days seem to last forever. But there’s always a place for a miracle and excitement, and the youngest Simpson has found her miracle.
While doing a good deed, Maggie forgot all about the gloom and sadness that surrounded her. Instead she became a witness to nature’s marvelous beauty, a caterpillar turning into a butterfly.
This short doesn’t have any dialogue, but the message is loud and clear: you can always make the day brighter and become a hero for someone.
No butterflies were harmed during the making of this animation, although 2 kids were pretty stressed.
