I Refuse to See My MIL Ever Again - Her Act Is Unforgivable

Michelle Yeoh’s goal is to please her darling dad even after his passing. The 60-year-old who won this year’s Academy Award for Best Actress kept her promise of bringing her Oscar trophy to her native Malaysia. And the star shared the touching moments she presented the precious award to her mom as well as taking it to her dad’s final resting place.
The Everything Everywhere All at Once star posted 2 snaps of her trip to Malaysia for her 2.2 million Instagram followers.
The first pic showed her mother, Janet proudly posing with her daughter’s golden Oscar award. The next one depicted Yeoh holding the trophy in her hand at the site of her father’s grave, which was adorned with flowers.
Back in March, Yeoh made history by becoming the very first Asian woman to win Best Actress at the Oscars. And during her speech, she thanked her 84-year-old mother and noted that she would be taking her trophy with her to Malaysia.
The 60-year-old star said, ’’I have to dedicate this to my mom, all the moms in the world, because they are really the superheroes.’’
Speaking of her mom, Yeoh declared in front of millions of Academy Awards viewers that ’’she’s watching right now, in Malaysia with my family and friends. I love you guys.’’
The star concluded her tribute by thanking her loved ones ’’for letting me stand on your shoulders, giving me a leg up, so I can be here today.’’
In a recent interview, Yeoh once again expressed her endless admiration for her mama, and explained that her love for movies was what launched her passion for cinema from a young age. The actress noted, ’’I grew up watching movies from India, Europe, America, and China.’’
The loving daughter also admitted ’’my mother would’ve made one of the greatest movie stars if she’d had the chance.’’ She then remarked, ’’She laid it on me, which is a good thing.’’
Yeoh’s inspiring journey reminds us that no matter how powerful, famous, or successful we become, we will always still be the apples of our parents’ eyes, and making them proud will remain a priority in our lives.
