Fatherhood is a magical, overpowering, and sometimes grimy journey that grows and softens our emotions with every phase. Even though a father’s love is the purest, each father goes through a different journey that lets them connect with their child uniquely. This also includes famous people who show us that nothing can compare to the love we experience when we hold our kids in our arms.

Bright Side can’t get enough of these celebs who show the world what it’s like to be a parent. Here are a few stars whose touching photographs and words on fatherhood brought us happiness.

1. Ryan Reynolds

Ryan Reynolds is candid about how much he loves being a dad. “It’s kind of made me a better person, I think,” he said. “But I sort of miss being horrible. I love it.” Blake Lively and Reynolds are the proud parents of 3 gorgeous girls. Although the actor was enthused about becoming a father and how much he enjoyed it, he acknowledged that being a parent has its challenges. The actor stated,’’ I’m 100 percent girl dad. I love it. I absolutely love it.’’

However, Reynolds stated that the struggles are worthwhile and revealed his true feelings, saying, “It’s a dream. It’s the best. They’re my buddies. I love it.” Also, he explained that he wouldn’t be the father he is today if it wasn’t for his wife. He stated, ’’Being a dad isn’t just about eating a huge bag of gummy bears as your wife gives birth. It means being comfortable with the word hero.’’

David and Victoria Beckham are the happy parents of 4 amazing children: Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and their daughter, Harper. And the soccer player loves being a father. “I think that’s what you learn as a father, you become less important, and it’s all about your children,” he said. “I think you mature faster with kids. You have important things to worry about, and life becomes about the kids.’’ When Beckham went to Indonesia in 2018, he talked about what being a father meant.

During a discussion, he recalled a period when his children were younger, stating, “I didn’t want to miss a second, but, of course, there were times that I couldn’t be there. I feared they would do something for the first time, and I wouldn’t be there to see it. I knew that spending as much quality time with my kids as I could, especially when they were young, was the most important thing in the world. I have no power over my little girl. My children are my motivation.”

3. Travis Scott

Travis Scott talked about how being a father is his most important job ever. He says that his daughter Stormi is the “inspiration” for everything he does. “When I became a father, I stopped living for myself. I was already working so hard for the fans, but now, oh man, Stormi, it’s like, I love that,” the rapper told the outlet about how becoming a parent has influenced every other aspect of his life, including work. “Fatherhood influences my job.”

4. Cristiano Ronaldo

When asked how having a family has changed Cristiano Ronaldo, he said, “It’s such a unique and personal journey, but it’s changed me a lot. It has taught me things I never knew about love. It has made me more understanding and helped me see what’s important in life. Being a parent and caring for my family is the best thing I’ve ever done. I love every minute of it. It has softened me and taught me life’s value.”

5. John Legend

In an interview, John Legend said that being a parent is “a beautiful thing.”

“Obviously, we’re not the only people to have felt this. But there’s something special about that feeling,” the singer said. Knowing that, as a couple, they have created life together, will always show how much they love and care for each other.

“You have this little human that’s a product of yours and your partner’s love. And I think that’s incredible to see ourselves reflected in our little child that we get to raise and teach and nurture, and I’m excited to do that,” he stated.

6. Dwayne Wade

Dwayne Wade, a former professional basketball player, said that the one thing he tries to teach his kids is responsibility, respect, and routine, explaining, “The 3 Rs are very important in my home. If they know what they’re supposed to do, treat others with respect, and stick to a schedule — I give my kids a list of everything they need to do from 1 to 16. If you teach them what to do in the house, they won’t have any trouble when they leave. But if they don’t learn responsibility at home, they won’t learn it anywhere else.”

Wade and his wife, Gabrielle Union, have been very protective and supportive of their transgender daughter, Zaya since she came out. “This is her life every day. This is no game to us,” Wade said. “Instead, we should help our kids do what makes them happy and protect their hearts.”

Cooper said, “Becoming a father helped me build self-esteem and have a healthy relationship with myself. Fatherhood is... everything changed.” According to him, being a father to a wonderful person completely changes or puts everything in a different light.

“You have this wonderful thing or breakthrough with a script, or you have a wonderful moment on this set or in an editing room ... you have like 40 of those moments every day with your kid, that is that level of joy. That’s not spinning it, that’s just the truth,” says the actor.

8. Will Smith

From the age of 6, Will Smith desired to become a father. He adored his family but felt compelled to fix his father’s egregious parenting flaws. When his son was born, he thought parenting was an actual weight on him. He stated, “I felt like I can’t do it,” he says. “I’m not the guy. I just knew I didn’t know anything.” But when he held his kid, he knew he was the one responsible for his life from then on.

The comedian and late-night host takes his job as a parent to his 2 adorable daughters with his wife, Nancy Juvonen, seriously. Fallon said in an interview, “When I didn’t have kids, if I heard a crying baby in the restaurant, I would think, ’Can you stop the crying and go around the block?’ Now I would say, ’Give me the baby — how can I help? I’ve been there.’”

He said that fatherhood has made him even more sensitive. He’s always emotional when it comes to his daughters.

11. Henry Golding

Henry Golding talked about how hard it was for him to return to work after his daughter Lyla was born. “It was heartbreaking, and of course, you yearn for them. But you know, this is where I have to be. I have those college fees to look forward to paying, so I’ve got to make sure I put in my hard work when I can,” he said.

And being a dad has already made him different. According to him, selflessness is something that stands out. You are no longer living for yourself. It’s not about your hopes and dreams. But, then, he added, “Yes, you think about those things, but right now, it’s more important to make sure she has everything she wants and can do whatever she wants.”

12. Neil Patrick Harris

Neil Patrick Harris of How I Met Your Mother, and his husband, David Burtka, have a twin boy and girl. Their kids are now 11 years old. He has said that he tries not to be too strict with his kids and has used different techniques to calm them down. “Being a parent is the single most challenging thing I’ve ever done and continue to do, but it’s also far and away the greatest joy in my life,” he wrote.

These parents spend a lot of time with their children, attempting to teach them morals, humor, and autonomy. Now that they’re older and no longer like you, you can understand how it went down. “They are learning the language, which is fun, they can say words and things, and it’s great because if they say, ’More banana, please, papa,’ well, when they say it like that, how can I say no?”, the star stated.

13. Usher

Usher, who sings and raps, has custody of his 2 kids with Tameka Foster. Before they married in 2007, the singer had been seeing Foster for a long time. Cinco and Navyid are their 2 sons. Usher filed for divorce in June 2009, and after a 3-year custody battle, the divorce was finalized in November 2009.

The rapper, who is 43 years old, thinks he was born to be a dad. He is proud of his 2 sons and shares pictures of them often. Usher said in an interview that he takes being a parent very seriously because his kids will look up to him one day. Adding to being a father, “Every child wants attention. Somebody to play with, somebody to talk with about male things.”

14. Justin Timberlake

The singer, who is 41, and his wife, actress Jessica Biel, have 2 sons who are 7 and 2 years old. Justin has been trying to enjoy the “small moments” with his family, but he admits that being a dad isn’t easy. He says, “The real winning at parenthood is getting to wake up every morning and fail repeatedly.”

But he was fair about the less fancy parts of being a dad and said it was an “extremely humbling experience.” “This feeling is the most insanely amazing, wonderful, unbelievable thing to ever happen to you.”
