“I Broke My Body,” Jennifer Aniston, 54, Damaged Herself From Years of Intense Workouts
Jennifer Aniston still rocks her iconic blonde Rachel look from Friends, even as time goes by and she gracefully ages. Her body is as fit and healthy as it was two decades ago, but it hasn’t been an effortless journey. The actress has always followed strict diets and workout routines, but over time, these intense regimens have taken a toll on her physical well-being.
She’s sustained “many injuries”.
Jennifer Aniston is renowned for her commitment to fitness and has become an inspiration to many. She approaches her workouts with a well-rounded method, valuing both physical strength and mental well-being. Aniston keeps things interesting by incorporating a mix of exercises into her routine, including cardio, strength training, yoga, and Pilates.
She understands the importance of avoiding workout boredom and constantly challenges her body. But, equally important to her is the notion of rest and recovery, recognizing that giving her body time to rest is just as vital as pushing herself during workouts.
Jennifer felt a lot of pressure to push herself through intense workouts, and it ended up causing injuries. She openly admitted that she exhausted herself by constantly engaging in intense high-impact workouts that eventually took a toll on her body, leaving her feeling broken and worn out.
“When you’re in a mindset of, ‘I need to do 45 minutes of cardio, or I won’t get a good workout,’ it’s daunting,” Aniston said. “I believed it for so long. I just burnt out and broke my body.”
Jennifer is now in a completely different mindset.
The star recognizes the pressure to push ourselves to the extreme during workouts, but she disagrees with this mindset. Aniston shared that her physical therapist gave her a Barbie doll covered in Kinesio tape, symbolizing all the injuries she has sustained in the past 15 years.
Also in the past, she underwent a time when she became obsessed with physical activity, and a strict regime of diet that jeopardized her whole daily routine. “And then I just got really addicted to physical activity and mindful eating and healthy eating, which is changing every year.”
“It’s always evolving; what’s better, what’s good for you, what’s not good for you. And then you’re like, ’Okay, well, now that’s not good for you? Well, what is good for you?’ You’re just trying to keep up with the times.”
Jennifer is still into working out, but she puts her own health and energy first. She has also begun a new program that is assisting her in dealing with and managing her job routine more effectively, without overworking herself and risking injury to her body.
“Doing your own workout by yourself, meh. If you get some good music going you can have fun, but I like to be guided,” she claimed. “It’s too easy for me to do things less correctly than I should.”
Despite all of the risks she’s taken, Jennifer has reached a stunning figure for her age, thanks to the fatigue and effort she’s put in.
