Seth Rogen, aged 41, and his wife, Lauren, aged 42, are currently enjoying a thriving life, attributing their contentment to the decision not to have children. The star of The Super Mario Bros. Movie appears to discover additional reasons to relish being a family of two each day, and he happily shares these insights with the public. However, not all fans cherish his choice.

Seth Rogen and his wife have consistently expressed their choice to lead a child-free lifestyle.

Seth Rogen has been alongside his wife, Lauren Miller, for nearly his entire career. Their journey began in 2004, leading to an engagement in 2010, followed by marriage in 2011. Since then, they have remained inseparable. Their commitment to each other is evident, and in line with their confidence in choosing a life together, the couple is resolute in their decision to not have children. Rogen has candidly shared, “I would say she wants kids less than I do.”

Seth Rogen further elaborated that they don’t sense any void in their lives. In fact, it’s quite the opposite — when they observe other couples with children, they perceive a distinct advantage in their own marriage. He explained, “We have so much fun. I don’t know anyone who gets as much happiness out of their kids as we get out of our non-kids.”

The renowned actor expressed that he wouldn’t want to choose between having children and pursuing his work. He revealed, “I wouldn’t be able to do all this work that I like. It’s something I think I was uncomfortable answering before. But [people] were like, ’How do you do so much?’ and, like, the answer is I don’t have kids.”

He also emphasized that being child-free is a significant factor contributing to his career success, stating, “That has helped me succeed as well, definitely.”

They now have additional reasons for choosing not to have children.

Today, almost two decades since their initial meeting, Rogen and Miller are more assured than ever that opting not to become parents was the right decision for them. Rogen expresses that their gratitude for being childless grows every day, stating, “Me and my wife, neither of us were like that. Honestly, the older we get, the more happy and reaffirmed we are with our choice not to have kids.”

Rogen adds that they keep discovering more and more reasons to remain a family of two, and their relationship significantly benefits from this choice. “We get to do whatever we want, we are in the prime of our lives, we are smarter than we’ve ever been, we understand ourselves more than we ever have, we have the capacity to achieve a level of work and a level of communication and care for one another,” the actor said.

People react differently to Rogen’s choice.

Rogen’s comments about his child-free lifestyle got mixed reactions on social media.

One individual suggested that Rogen’s choice not to have kids sounded like he’s lived a “sad, futile existence.”

Another drew a comparison between Rogen and Chelsea Handler, who has also spoken openly about her decision to be childless: “Really there’s no real way a childless person can say they’re happy to have made the decision not to have kids. (Not the childless ones who want kids and do not have them yet). Seth Rogan and Handler both got hit with hate so... can’t win.”

Despite eliciting mixed reactions, some commenters commended Rogen for expressing his honest perspective. A Twitter user remarked that the actor’s views on procreation were “spot on” and aligned with his and his wife’s beliefs: “Seth Rogan’s take on being so glad him and his wife don’t have kids is spot on with my wife and I. My time is mine and I dictate what I do with my life. It’s a blessing to not have that layer of responsibility and we are so happy with living for ourselves.”

Another praised Rogen for how he described the joys of not having kids: “I love the way Seth Rogan explained why not having kids was the best thing for his marriage. How it allowed the freedom of a deeper connection with his wife. I hate when people insist others to have children.”

The renowned wrestler turned actor, John Cena and his wife are also relishing a child-free marriage, content with their cosy lifestyle. At 46, he is happily child-free, expressing that he doesn’t want to choose between having a child and his relationship with his wife.
