Despite being at the 40-week mark of her pregnancy, Gabriela’s tireless commitment to her fitness regime proved to be an unexpected catalyst, as her labor began shortly after leaving the gym’s doors. This feat has ignited a heated discussion surrounding the boundaries of pregnancy fitness and the potential risks involved. Join us as we unravel the journey of Gabriela Andrade, exploring the conflicting opinions surrounding her intense workout.

Her Rigorous pre-birth workout sparks social media debate.

Captain Gabriela Andrade, a 34-year-old firefighter in Espirito Santo, Brazil, recently sparked a debate on social media after posting about the demanding workout she completed shortly before delivering her baby.

She needed this intense workout to battle anxiety.

Andrade, known for her rigorous exercise regimen, worked out for an hour on June 12, just hours before entering labor. The workout included cardio, strength training, and plyometrics.

In a video that has racked up over 89,000 likes, Gabriela detailed how she battled overwhelming anxiety 40 weeks into her pregnancy. To help alleviate the intensity of her stress, she embarked on a session of rapid leg squats and speedy pull-ups on the pull-up bar. Impressively, she tackled sets of push-ups, even with her pregnancy belly making contact with the ground.

Her last-hour workout before labor ignites a deep online discussion.

Nevertheless, her exercise regimen triggered a range of opinions among observers, with some finding her actions motivating while others expressed safety concerns.

“[You’re] an inspiration to all of us. You were amazing !! Don’t listen to so many people...A true warrior,” one individual commented. Another contributor chimed in, saying, “Congratulations girl. In my pregnancy, I intend to continue with my training.”

“The abs with all that impact, sorry, I thought it was ridiculous, unnecessary...be very careful, young lady,” argued a third commenter.

A fourth person conveyed, “Unnecessary, dangerous.”

She welcomed her second child one day after the viral workout video.

Merely twenty-four hours following the video’s upload, the strong mom welcomed her second child into the world alongside her husband, Heitor, who manages the fire department.

The birth proceeded without any complications, as Matheus entered “exactly as planned: at the time he wanted and without any intervention.”

Medical professionals advise expecting mothers to engage in a minimum of 150 minutes of moderately intense aerobic exercise weekly — a guideline that Gabriella firmly supports, believing that pregnancy shouldn’t be a reason to ease up.

“I felt happy and honored to see that I could motivate many women to practice physical activity, take care of their bodies, self-esteem, and health,” Andrade elaborated.

She exercised throughout pregnancy with expert guidance.

Andrade did not let her pregnancy stop her from working out. She continued to exercise throughout her pregnancy under the guidance of several health professionals.

To address any confusion, she explained, “There would be no reason to stop during pregnancy since I was accompanied and guided by several health professionals who encouraged me at all times and led me very well on this journey. This does not mean anyone can do it, but my body was prepared for that intensity.

She also practiced other sports.

Some pregnant women are unsure about activities like CrossFit because they think it might be too tricky, as it involves lifting weights, doing cardio, and using their body weight. Andrade clarified that she also dedicated substantial time to swimming and foot volleyball, a fusion of soccer and volleyball.

While this heavily pregnant firefighter pushes her body to the brink of exhaustion in a remarkable workout session, another mom-to-be with an astonishingly large baby bump has people gossiping. Could the universe conspire to gift these two women the miraculous arrival of eight babies together?
