6 Celebrities Who Announced They’re Eagerly Awaiting to See Their Baby Bump
Pregnancy is an unforgettable stage in any woman’s life, so it’s no wonder that moms-to-be want to share every detail of the process with their loved ones. Famous or not, we all collect a lot of fun stories during the nine months a pregnancy lasts. And thanks to our naughty hormones, we have to put up with emotions running high and a few celebrities expecting their babies to be born this year can confirm that.
1. Blake Lively
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds currently have three children aged 3 to 8. Regarding their private life, they used to be very secretive, but this time it was different. Since this is their fourth pregnancy, they have plenty of experience, and they know that the more they try to hide it, the more curiosity it will arouse. That’s why they decided to share the process with the public and take the opportunity to send a message to the paparazzi.
Blake posted some images of her and her family along with the following caption: “Here are photos of me pregnant in real life so the 11 guys waiting outside my home will leave me alone. You freak me and my kids out. Thanks to everyone else for all the love and respect.”
2. Kaley Cuoco
The actress, fondly remembered for her leading role in the series The Big Bang Theory, where she played Penny, is expecting her first baby. Both she and her partner, fellow actor Tom Pelphrey, famous for his work in the series Ozark, have shared the process on their social media. Their posts are very emotional and touching. They perfectly reflect the eagerness and joy of these first-time parents.
They proudly shared every step of the way, from the moment they learned Kaley was pregnant to the baby’s gender and even the baby shower pics. Because of that, we know that she’s having a baby girl and that the couple can’t wait for her to be born to hold her in their arms and fill her with love.
3. Hilary Swank
Hillary announced she would become a mother for the first time at 48. But it almost counts as twice because she is expecting twins. Despite her happiness and eagerness to share the news with the world, she kept her pregnancy a secret during the first trimester. It was not easy, she was playing a fitness fan on Alaska Daily, and her character had several scenes where she had to run. She knew that, in her condition, that might not be a good idea, so she told the production that she would need a stuntwoman.
Her excuse was that she “didn’t look good running,” a statement that surprised the team since one of her most memorable performances was Million Dollar Baby’s boxer, Maggie. She did an amazing job even though the role was very demanding. Production thought she was joking around, so they asked her to run, so they could see themselves if she was right. And, since she’s an amazing actress, she pulled it off, and they agreed to find her a stuntwoman for the running scenes.
4. Kelly Osbourne
Another celebrity joining this year’s baby boom is Kelly Osborne. The daughter of Black Sabbath’s former lead singer announced on social media that she is pregnant, and now we can’t wait to know more about it.
“I know that I have been very quiet these past few months, so I thought I would share with you all as to why... I am over the moon to announce that I am going to be a Mumma. To say that I am happy does not quite cut it. I am ecstatic!”. Since then, she hasn’t given any more details, nor has she provided us any pictures of her tummy. We can’t wait to know more about how she feels and what she does!
5. Nikki Reed
This vampiric couple, formed by Edward Cullen’s eldest sisters in Twilight and Ian Somerhalder, Damon Salvatore in The Vampire Diaries, married in 2015. They welcomed their daughter only 2 years later, and they are expecting their second baby this year. We’re not yet sure if it’s a boy or a girl, but we do know that the baby’s eagerly awaited.
Nikki happily posted a beautiful picture of herself and her tummy, holding her five-year-old daughter in her arms, along with the following caption “Years of dreaming, manifesting and praying over this very moment. So much love. What a gift. As all of you know, I have very strong boundaries with social media, especially when it comes to children and what I choose to put out into the world. Thank you so much for honoring that, and for sending positivity and kindness and LOVE. Some things are too good not to share.”
6. Priscilla Chan
Philanthropist and Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg announced that he would become a parent for the third time with Priscilla. Their two little girls will be joined by a third who is already on the way and about to arrive. While the couple keeps a low profile and tries to stay out of the media, they always end up in the news.
In 2015, in honor of the birth of their eldest daughter, the couple founded the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative. This non-profit organization raises and reinvests 99% of the lifetime earnings from the shares they both own from Facebook in charitable causes and social aid. Their organization has donated millions of dollars to education, housing and scientific research.
